Prayer For Pain Relief And Healing
O merciful Parent, I turn to You in prayer.
You who bind up wounds and heal the sick, I put my trust in You.
Knowing that I am in Your hands, O God, I have faith that
You will not forsake me.
Give me courage now and in the days ahead.
Grant wisdom and skill to my physician; make all those who are
assisting me instruments of Your healing power.
Give me strength for this day and grant me hope for tomorrow.
Hear my prayer, be with me; protect me.
Restore me to health, Adonai, so that I may serve You.
Heal me Adonai, and I shall be healed; Save me and I shall be saved;
for You are my praise.
Mother, sing me a song
that will ease my pain,
mend broken bones,
bring wholeness again.
Catch my babies
when they are born,
sing my death song,
teach me how to mourn.
Show me the Medicine.
of the healing herbs,
the value of spirit,
the way I can serve.
Mother, heal my heart
so that I can see
the gifts of yours
that can live through me.
Strengthen me, Holy One,
on my journey through illness;
Steady my steps on this difficult path.
Bring me through signposts
of remedies and therapies,
Secure in Your guidance
as I face these changes
You are my Strength and my Hope,
The Author of my healing.
You are my Promise and my Courage,
Guiding my helpers as I move toward healing.
Guard the encouragement
of simple improvements,
Every day praising Your loving concern.
Make me Your partner, Divine Physician,
Restoring me for Your Name's sake.
Gracious God, only source of life and health: Help, comfort, and relieve me, and give your power of healing to those who minister to my needs; that my weakness may be turned to strength and confidence in your loving care; for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amen.
As Jesus cried out on the cross, I cry out to you in pain, O God my Creator. Do not forsake me. Grant me relief from this suffering and preserve me in peace; through Jesus Christ my Savior, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Almighty God! Lord of humankind: remove the hardship and release the sick of her/his sickness. Ease the suffering and heal him/her as you are the Healer. There is no cure except through Your healing. Help us to be steadfast and make our faith well established. Grant us a healthy heart and a truthful tongue. Set right our affairs and forgive us our sins, our wrongs, our mistakes, and shortcomings. Amen.
We speak healing over the emotions of millions of hurting people in the world, especially each and every hurting person who reads this prayer. Holy Spirit, embrace them with your grace and mercy and love. Heal us with the power of your unconditional love. Help us to know what might be hindering our healing. Help us to let go of our pain and to forgive anyone who has hurt us. You are bigger than pain and bigger than offense, Jesus. Thank you for helping us to become whole again.
Almighty Father in heaven, you are the rock and my salvation, my fortress, and redeemer in whom I take refuge. I come before you today because your word assures me that you are near the brokenhearted and that you save those crushed in spirit. You are all knowing and you can see the hurt and agony I experience. Ever since this began, I have been in and out of hospital seeking treatment, but the pain does not seem to go away. I thank you for your grace and the gift of life. I proclaim that you are my Healer. Today, my Lord, I beseech you to send your word and heal my body from all this suffering. Restore to me the joy of my salvation, and use my body as a living testimony to your healing power. I repent any evil action I might have done to displease you, and I ask you to heal and relieve my body of this pain. I rise against any wiles of the enemy, unbelief and doubt regarding your incredible power, and I hope that I am relieved of this in Jesus' name.
