Prayer For Our School Community
Out of the depths we cry to you, O God. Hear our voices and be with your people.
Living God, lead us to paths of steadfast love, lead us to new life, and lead the world to peace and healing which you offer. Renew us, fill us and open our hearts to your presence.
God of the past, present and future, God in whom all things are renewed, we praise you. In the face of all that wearies and worries us at this present time, we remember your love and hope. As we walk the way of Jesus, his cross stands before us. Therefore, we trust you are never far from our sorrows. In Jesus you walk with us, you share our tears. You stand beside us when we do not know which way to turn. You are with us in times of joy and laughter. Help us to find these in the present moment. Renew our trust in your resurrection promises and draw near to us when we need you the most.We pray that we can all be a light for others at this time and that our individual lights. Amen.
Almighty God We give you our school. We give you all the teachers and staff who work here, We give you all the children who study here. We pray our school would be place of great discovery, adventure and creativity. May it be a place where we love to learn and where we learn to love, A place where every one is respected and all are deeply valued. We ask all this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
O, God,
Grant us in all our duties your help;
in all our perplexities, your guidance;
in all our dangers, your protection;
and in all our sorrows, your peace.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
our body, and our blood,
our life and our nourishment. Amen.
Heavenly Father
You have made human beings in such a way
that all education is most important for their welfare.
Our neighborhood school is lacking _________
and can barely teach our children basic morals and knowledge
that they need in order to live in union with others
and with You, their Creator.
Help us to restore our school
so that our children may receive knowledge of You
And of Your Son, which is eternal life. Amen
I am starting my confession NOW! I combine my faith with those who are also praying and believing for the wisdom, honor, power and glory of God to be demonstrated in our school system. I am releasing my faith for the next generation! Lord Jesus, I thank You for the redemptive work You are doing in our schools and in the people who run them. The students and teachers are on Your heart and they are on mine, too. Our schools will be a joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth! Nations will fear God and tremble because of all the goodness, peace, prosperity, security and stability You have provided. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Look upon us, O Lord, and grant us the
grace of your Holy Spirit.
Where there is weakness, give us strength;
where there is disagreement, give us tolerance;
where there is misunderstanding, give us patience;
where there is hurt, give us the courage to forgive and the
grace to accept forgiveness.
Be present in your school here and in all places;
bless our work, and everything that is undertaken by our Christian sisters and brothers,
for the furtherance of your kingdom of unity and love, peace
and justice.
We ask this in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit,

Father, we confess our worry and our fear to You today. You tell us not to worry, but it is so hard not to cry when we think of what other parents have had to suffer on account of the tragedy we prepare to face everyday. Comfort their hearts in a special way.
Bless our children and keep them safe from physical harm. Protect them from abuse, abduction, child trafficking, and addiction. Guard their hearts from the devil's schemes, and protect their minds from things that are not appropriate for their eyes to see and their ears to hear. Bless them with hearts of compassion for their fellow students and teachers.
May they be kind on the playground and quiet in the hallways. Protect our children from gossip and bullying. May they know and hear Your voice louder than all the others. Amen
Father, we thank you for all the children in our school. Each one is so special and precious to you. Thank you for the skills and talents you have given us as teachers. We offer them to you now and ask for your blessing on them. Lord, we give you this time as we plan and make decisions for our school. We ask for your guidance, inspiration and direction. Holy Spirit, may we be sensitive to your leading as we talk and share together now. Amen.
