Prayer For Our President
Lord, help us to remember that we, too, must do our part to make our country the peaceful and progressive nation that we want it to be, by following the laws of God, and by sharing our blessings of time, talent and material goods with so many of our needy countrymen.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we entrust President Duterte and our country to you. Dearest Mother Mary, take all of us Filipinos under your mantle of love and protection. Amen.
Dear Lord, through the intercession of our dearest Mother Mary Queen of Peace, convert us Filipino people into peaceful God-fearing, honest and responsible citizens.
We pray that the Holy Spirit may enlighten President Duterte and our national and local leaders each day to make just and wise decisions for our country. Inspire them to be true servants of the people by fulfilling their mandate with selfless dedication, with honesty and integrity, with justice and transparency. Deliver our leaders from the sins of greed, corruption, pride and infidelity. Amen
LORD, guide our President continually, and satisfy his soul in drought, and strengthen his bones. Make our President like a watered garden and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. There is nothing covered, not enemies, strategies, counsels, or weapons, which will not be revealed to our President. The hidden things will be made known to him, including the plans of our enemies and every terrorist plot will be known. His house and this nation will be secure in all things; no word spoken against the nation a shall prosper. Every plot formulated in the hearts of men to disrupt the security of this nation through manipulation or terrorist attack in America shall be cast down. Amen
God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give to President the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Christ Jesus, become for President wisdom from God, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. As Watchmen we declare the power of the cross and the blood of Jesus over our president, his house and all under his authority. Amen.
Guard our President against unfair criticism and unfounded accusations. When he stumbles, give him the courage to admit his mistakes. Strengthen his character, guard him against hurtful compromise, and give him a listening ear for the people he serves. In danger, surround him and our country with Your angel protection. From the time he begins in office until his time is complete, may the president serve you and our country as a true leader with an undying love, an unswerving faith, and an unending hope in the only One who can make our country great. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Lord, no matter who is leading our country as President, we offer our prayers on behalf of his/her position. Draw him into a strong relationship with You. Thank You for this one who has pledged his life in service to our country. Give our president a true servant spirit, one who is a person after Your own heart. Anoint him with the Holy Spirit's power, that he might feel Your strength in every situation. Let integrity and honesty guide every decision as He first looks to You for divine help. Turn his heart from distractions and temptations that could bring harm rather than help to his life, his family, and to the people he serves. Make him a leader in every respect, morally and spiritually strong. Enlighten the president's mind with discernment, wisdom, and fairness.
Father, together we pray for our nations leaders to find Your peace and direction, and for these men and women to act and lead according to Your Word. A house divided within cannot stand, therefore, I pray for them to be unified in righteousness for the sake of our nation.
Lord, the God of righteousness and truth,
grant to our Queen and her government,
to members of Parliament and all in positions of responsibility,
the guidance of your Spirit.
May they never lead the nation wrongly through love of power,
desire to please, or unworthy ideals,
but always love righteousness and truth;
so may your kingdom come and your name be hallowed;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
