Prayer For Our Leaders Bible

Lord, I pray and believe that each and every day freedom of utterance is given to our leaders that they will open their mouths boldly and courageously as they should to get the Gospel to the people. Thank you Lord for the added strength which comes super-humanly that You have given them. (Eph. 6:19,20)

Lord I thank you that they hold fast and follow the pattern of wholesome and sound teaching in all faith and love, which is for us in Christ Jesus. They guard and keep with the greatest love the precious and adapted truth entrusted to them by the Holy Spirit who abides in them. (2 Tim 1:13,14)

Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up. Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up.

Teach us to be subject to our rulers with respecteven when they are unjust. Teach us to endure sorrows while suffering by being mindful of you. You have called us to suffer while doing good because this is how the Messiah served us and the example he left for us to follow. Teach us to live, not with threats but with faith, entrusting ourselves to your Sonthe One who judges justly.

Our healing does not come through liberty or restriction but through the wounds of Jesus. We were straying like sheep, but you have brought us to the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls. Let us be content with him.

In Christ's name,

Amen.

Teach us to honor them and be subject to them in ways that honor you and silence the ignorance of foolish people. Teach us to live as people who are freebut to never use our freedom as an excuse to do evil. In both our subjection and our freedom cause us to live as your servants. Conform us to the image of the Chief Servant, who did not count freedom, power, or wealth as a reason to please himself, but laid aside his rights and preferences, becoming a slave to serve the interests of others. May such humility be ours as we honor our leaders and love our brothers and sisters. Amen

Father, please give my pastor supernatural strength but also wisdom to know how & when to rest so that he/she can stay physically healthy. Sustain him/her by your strength. Keep him/her from any sickness of the body & any instability of the mind. {Isaiah 40:31}

Lord, I pray that my pastor & his/her spouse will have a strong union in You. That You will highlight areas of their life that need to be addressed & communicated about & that You will give them time together to enjoy each other. Let my pastor's family have fun together & keep any seed of bitterness from taking root. Let them love the church deeply enough to want to stay healthy together & let their bonds be strong. {1 Timothy 3: 2-6, Ephesians 6:4}

Lord, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.' So the Lord relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people.
