Prayer For Opening Worship
As we come before You in Jesus' name we Your people will praise You with our innermost being, Father, we praise Your Holy name. We will not forget Your benefits and we give You praise and thanksgiving because You have forgiven our sins and healed our diseases. WE praise You because You have redeemed our life from the pit and crowned us with compassion. Father, we praise You because You satisfy our desires with good things and You renew our Youth like the eagles. Father, we praise You and honor You for You alone work righteousness for the oppressed, You are compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love.
Heavenly Father, in this day we will give thanks to You Lord and we will call upon Your name; we will make known among the nations what You have done and we will proclaim that Your name is exalted. We will sing to You Lord for You have done glorious things and we will let it be known to all the world. Father, today we will shout aloud and sing for joy. We will declare that great is the holy one of Israel among us.
Father, as we come before You today in the name of Jesus, we declare that You are God and earnestly we will seek You. Father, it's our desire to see You in the sanctuary; to behold Your power and Your glory. Father, Your love is greater than life and our lips will glorify You. We will praise You as long as we live and in Your name we will lift up our hands. You have satisfied our souls as with the riches of foods and with singing lips our mouths will give You praise.
Lord God Almighty, we praise you for who you are and what you have done. You are the healer, bring healing in this place. You are our righteousness, bring transformation in this place. You are the provider, increase our trust in you. You are the God who is with us, let us enter your presence. You are the Lord of Hosts, bring victory in our struggles. You are the God of Peace, bring comfort in our chaos. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Abba, Father, it is our privilege and joy to praise you. As we sing, let us make a joyful noise to you. As we pray, may our words and thoughts be a pleasing aroma to you. As we open your word may we trust in your unfailing promises. Your word holds true, it is living and active, sharper than a two-edged sword. Open the eyes of our hearts that we may see you more clearly today. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Father in Heaven, maker of heaven and earth, you alone are worthy of our praises. We have gathered together to raise our voices in praise to you. We thank you for the wonders that you have worked in our lives. Accept our prayers of thanksgiving in Jesus' name. You are the only true, living God. Manifest yourself within our midst today. We know that without you, we can do nothing. Empower us to do great things today and every day in Jesus' name. As we finish our opening prayers for church service, may we feel your power. May each person present be inspired to love and serve you for every moment until we are gathered together again.
Almighty God, you have kept us alive to praise and worship your holy name. We have gathered to thank you for your grace and praise you in the house of the lord. Your presence brings us strength, peace and hope in our lives. While we may be sinners, we can be washed clean through your mercy. May your grace aid us in our journey toward you. We have gathered at the tabernacle of the Lord to renew the love within our hearts. Allow us to live and serve you for all of our lives. May all of our works glorify you and make you happy to have us as your servants.
