Prayer For Operation
Lord, Your Word tells me not to be anxious about anything but to come to You in prayer and place all my concerns before You and that You will give me a peace in my heart that passes understanding and that is what I'm doing now Lord. I am asking for You to be with me as I face this upcoming operation and keep my heart calm. Keep me from imagining all that could go wrong for I trust myself and my operation in Your hands. Amen.
Heavenly Father, grant me joyful acceptance of the surgery which awaits me, and let this be the relief and cure which I seek. Make skilled the work of the surgeon and that of his team for it is unto their knowledge and skill that I give myself for healing. I pray to You, O Lord, that this procedure will be without complication, and that my recovery will be speedy and complete. Amen.

We now place our hands upon you
as we call forth the healing power of God.
Divine Healer and Lord of Wholeness,
Together we place ourselves in Your Hands.
Give our (insert name) peace of mind and renewed heart,
Free him/her from fear and worry and give him/her

Bring healing to the weakened parts of his/her body
and through this prayer comfort him/her with your
Love and mercy.
God of Health and Wholeness,
We gather this morning to pray
For our dear friend (insert name)
as we desire for her to be restored
to the balance of good health.
We pray for a successful surgery and for the
Medical staff who will be working with him/her
so that, he/she may fully recover,
and return with renewed zeal
to the daily life that we share.
Take me (or take him) in your arms now,
over the next few hours and the days to come.
That I may rest entirely in the Lord,
even when unconscious.
As I give you all my being (the whole nature of ) in this operation, allow my life (his entire life) to be in your light.
Amen.
I ask you, Lord,
make everything go well in the surgery
and grant healing and help.
Guide the surgeon's hands to be successful.
Thank you, Lord,
Because I know that doctors are your instruments and helpers.
Nothing can happen to me (or happen to the operated person)
except what is decided by you, O Father.
Father, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, allow me to be not afraid. Be my comfort. Let Your goodness and mercy follow me, even through this surgery. Please be with me at this time when I am most vulnerable. Grant me peace of mind that I may not worry. In Your Name, I ask all these, Amen.
Dearest Lord, I entrust my life to You today as I go on the operating table. May Your hand be upon the surgeons and doctors who will do the operation. Allow them to act as extensions of Your healing hands. Enable them to be the instruments that will help me recover my strength. As I fall asleep from the anesthetic, I ask You to be with me always. Allow me to feel Your presence. Let Your peace surround me even as I am unconscious. I trust in Your promise, God, that when I call to you for help, you will heal me. All these things I ask in Your Name, Amen.
