Prayer For Opportunity
Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.
A day is precious because each day is essentially the microcosm of your whole life. Each new day offers possibilities and promises that were never seen before. To engage with honor the full possibility of your life is to engage in a worthy way the possibility of your new day. Each day is different. In the Book of Revelation, God said, "The world of the past is gone. . . . Behold I am making all creation new." The new day deepens what has already happened and unfolds what is surprising, unpredictable, and creative.
Gracious God, we thank you for bringing us to another day and to new opportunities for serving you, one another, the Catholic health ministry, and the cause of your kingdom. Open our hearts and our minds to the guidance of your Spirit so that we will recognize and seize upon the possibilities that lie before us this day and not squander the precious time and opportunities for good that are given to us. May the work we do together be of benefit to all those we serve and may it enliven and refresh our spirits and our commitment to the cause of your kingdom. Amen.
We pray for strength; our Maker may provide opportunities to be strong, to stand strong, to make a difference. And as we meet the opportunity with faith and more courage, we become stronger, more resolute and steadfast in righteousness. This can challenge be an answered prayer.
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. We pray for understanding; He sometimes provides opportunity to receive understanding. We step out in faith and act on an opportunity. We make a decision to accept God's word, and as we do, we begin to receive understanding of why: its purpose, its value and benefits. Again, answered prayer.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus -Philippians 4:6-7
God blesses us through opportunities O LORD, bless me, my asking God to do for you is to give you opportunities to be blessed and prospered.
Our Heavenly Father has filled our lives with incredible opportunities. It's important that we are always ready so that we can hear God's voice when He is calling us. We don't miss these opportunities when they come to us. Start your day off with this morning prayer for opportunity:
Dear Lord, I pray today that I will yield my spirit completely to You, that You may use me as You please. I pray that You will provide me opportunities to show people how much You mean to me. Give me discretion to know what to say and how to say it. Make me bold enough that I may proclaim salvation cheerfully and joyfully. I pray that the seeds You allow me to plant will grow and mature. I am forever grateful for the cross; may I proclaim it in a contagious way today. Amen.
