Prayer For New Mother And Baby
Dear God,
Thank you for your great love and blessing over our lives. Thank you that your favor towards your children has no end. It lasts for eternity through the richness and power of Christ. Forgive us for sometimes forgetting that you are intimately acquainted with all our ways, that you know what concerns us and you cover us, as with a shield.
We may not always be able to see ahead in everything God is doing. We may not always understand His ways or timing, but we can be confident of this: He is at work.
Always.
Dear Lord, I know you have a plan for my child and I thank you and praise you for allowing me the gift of being his/her mother. I am frustrated because I want to see the fruits of my labor, Lord. Please give me the patience to continue being obedient to your word in raising my child.
Nurturing God,
Today we hold in our hearts all the mothers and children around the globewherever they are, we pray that they may access essential health services that allow them to protect themselves from infection and disease, nourish themselves in both body and spirit, and live life to its fullest. We rejoice for the millions of lives that have been saved because of our collective global action knowing that each life is precious to you, no matter where we were born.
We ask for your guidance for the leaders of all nations, awakening in them the desire and will to invest in the gift of health for all mothers and children. We ask for your presence with each mother and child, as you were present with Mary and countless other mothers at the time of childbirth, blessing their birth and welcoming the new child into its earthly home. Amen.
Hold him/her gently in your hands.
When he/she is reborn of water and the Holy Spirit,
bring him/her into the Church,
there to share in your kingdom
and with us to bless your name forever.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

God, please give my baby all that is required for a good way of life and for a good way of living. Please let this child bring joy and pride to me and my family. I will give all that is needed to this child. And help me to do my best to guard and protect my baby for his/her lifetime.
To this child, i pray that the enemy shall not outwit you. The Lord shall anoint you with the oil of gladness above your fellows. Anywhere you go, you shall standout.
God help me to keep this baby from the temptations of this life and protect him/her from the influences of this world system, which can so easily shipwreck the pure faith of a young and trusting child.
