Prayer For New Married Couples

Father, for the woman that finds it easier to love others more than herself, give her the gift of self-love and forgiveness. Hold her and embrace her. Give her permission to take care of herself, to enjoy the things that make her heart sing, and give her the time it takes to do those things. You love her servant heart, Lord, please let her feel the peace that your love wants to give her in these busy days we all live in.

Thank you Father that no matter where our hearts are you are always reaching out to love us unconditionally! You are the ultimate example of love and we are so grateful for that!

In Jesus' Holy name we pray,
Amen.

Lord thank you that your love does not brag and is not arrogant. Help us not to live with pride or arrogance, but to choose to walk with humility and grace.

Lord thank you that true love does not act unbecomingly. Lord help us to extend kindness instead of rudeness towards others. Help us to lay aside the critical tone and tearing down with our words, so that we can truly walk in peace.

I pray that you will guide our footsteps as we learn how to communicate and compromise in a relationship. Help our infatuation turn into a lasting love and sense of companionship. As we walk forward in life, guide us according to your will. I trust that this relationship is a blessing from you, so I trust that you will guide us toward the wisdom, strength and love that we need to find happiness. Open the eyes of my heart and show me anything that is not of you. May we both enter this relationship, not blinded by love, but spirit-wise. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we are vulnerable to the ways of the world. Too often, we see people who break up or get divorced from their spouse. Marriage is a sacred vow before God, and we take this commitment seriously. If it is your will, help us to grow in this relationship and remain pure so that we may one day become husband and wife. If we are not meant to be together, help us to see your plan and to accept your will. Guide us to become stronger, more compassionate and more loving partners in all ways. Amen.

Lord, may You be lifted-up in their lives and in their home, so that in the days that lie ahead the precious bond of marriage may be strengthened and their love for each other and for You, grows and blossoms.

As they start out in married life, help them to talk together, and to You, and help them to share their joys and sorrows with each other and to keep You at the centre of their marriage.

May each develop the grace of seeking the best for the other and thinking of their spouse as more important than themselves. And Lord, I pray that You would help them to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, in Whose name I pray,

Amen.

Lord, we want You to direct and govern our lives together, and we pray that we may build each other up and strengthen the other rather than tearing each other down with careless actions and hasty words. Help us to guard our tongues and conduct our lives in a godly manner. Help us to keep our eyes and hearts faithful to each other and to You, and may we learn to live and move and have our being founded on Christ, Who is the founder and finisher of our faith and our only help in time of trouble.

Teach us to listen to the other, to pray together and to respond to each other with wisdom and grace. Help us to construct a transparent wall of trust between us and to wear the inner garments of grace and love, patience, wisdom and joy. Yhis we ask in the name of Jesus our Lord and Saviour,

Amen.

Lord bless this beautiful couple with love and hope we pray.

Keep alive forever more the vows they've pledged today.

May you bless their dreams and visions,

And keep them always safe.

May peace and joy be with them now

On this their wedding day.

Lord God Almighty,

Creator of the heavens and earth.

Thank you for the gift of marriage

For all the joy and love that it brings us.

We thank you for NAME and NAME

Thank you that you have brought them together for this special day,

And that you hold them safely in Your hands.

We pray that you would richly bless them as they exchange their vows and their wedding rings,

And from this day forward they would walk hand in hand into everything that you have destined them to be.

We give our hearts and beings to You now in adoration,

And welcome Your Holy Spirit amongst us.

Amen.
