Prayer For New Mom
Lord, please help me to raise this child [or these children] with You in mind. Help me to teach them the right values and to raise them up to love You, to seek Your heart and to embark on the path that You have laid before them. God, please help me along the path, even as I face difficult patches and navigate uncharted waters. Thank you for the gift of motherhood and for Your love. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
Dear Lord, thank you for my mother [or an example of a good mother in your life]. She is always loving, encouraging and providing for her children and those around her. She serves as a wonderful example of what it means to nurture and live out love for those around her. I ask that you guide her with your wisdom as she carries on along Your path. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
Lord I pray to you with all my heart for the strength to be a loving mother,to have the perseverance to deal with whatever challenges I am faced with, and the knowledge to raise my son with you in our hearts.God I thank you every day for all that you have blessed my family with,especially our new son.I have never knew love like this before. I love you for that. Please walk by my families side and in our hearts .You are an awesome God.AMEN
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.
Father, I pray she will lean on your strength to help her make it through the long, long nights and days broken up into three hour feeding increments. Give her the stamina, endurance, and tenacity necessary to put the needs of her baby above her own, even as she pushes through sleep (and shower!) deprivation. And help her not to be too proud to admit she needs help and then to ask for and accept it.
Dear Father,
I know you see your beloved one, the one who just brought new life into the world. I know you see her tired, weary, full of joy, and full of love like she's never known. I pray she knows that the very same deep, deep love she has for her baby is just the tiniest glimpse of your never-ending love for her. Give her a vision of you rejoicing greatly and singing over her as she does the same with her sweet new baby.
As a new mom, I wanted to learn as much as I could. Unfortunately, all of the conflicting parenting advice can be confusing and overwhelming. Only God can provide the wisdom we truly need as mothers. If you're feeling confused about what to do next, ask for wisdom with this prayer:
Lord, please give me the wisdom to make decisions according to your will. Send me your vision in this situation and make it plain that I will see it. And please show me how to teach my child to make wise decisions so that he/she may also choose the path that is pleasing to you.
Dear Lord, I know you have a plan for my child and I thank you and praise you for allowing me the gift of being his/her mother. I am frustrated because I want to see the fruits of my labor, Lord. Please give me the patience to continue being obedient to your word in raising my child. Teach me to wait in hope and confidence for you to make your will known in your time.
