Prayer For My Struggling Son
God bless all who are battling those inner demons of depression, loneliness, unworthiness, and hopelessness. Shine Your warm Heavenly Light down upon all of us, Lord, who are looking for our soul mates. Guide us to find peace, happiness, and contentment in our lives and within ourselves.
Amen.
The great blessing you have been waiting for, for so many years may God make it come your way. Blessings that is greater than ever human comprehension will locate you today and forever. Amen.
I pray to be released from all the doubts, hesitations, worries, and fears that I carry in
my mind and weigh heavily upon my heart. Instead of continually striving and fighting
my life's events to change or manipulate them let me be shown instead how to be
mentally and emotionally flexible. Instead of wanting my child to be different, teach me
how to love my child as he has shown up in this lifetime not how I want him to show
up.
Today, I pray for a quantum shift in my relationship with my child who suffers with
OCD, so that I may be brought into a deeper awareness of how to love, care and be
supportive as a parent to my son.
I pray that I can look beyond my child's OCD and glimpse upon the divinity that lies
within him. I pray to understand how everyone and everything is connected to this
inner brilliance; so that I may see my child as an individualized expression of this
beauty, this genius, this love.
Father, sometimes I find it so hard to pray, Thy will be done. I ask for the courage and humility to open my hands to you and to surrender my life, my will, and even my children to you. Help me to trust that you love me infinitely, that you are good, and that you work all things together for my good, my sanctification, and my salvation. I ask for a spirit of acquiescence like our holy Mother, that I may say yes to you in all things, even when I am disappointed, sorrowful, or afraid. Make yourself known in my yes, Father, and may I rest in the knowledge that my yes, united to yours, can only bring forth life. Amen.
Lord my Advocate, I ask You to come alongside my son and be his Counselor and Guide. He is struggling in so many areas of his life. Help him to conquer the areas where he needs self-control and order. Protect him from companions who are an evil influence on him. Help him to make wise choices and to find a way out of the poor choices he has made in the past. Amen.
Dear Lord, You are the hope ahead of my child
You are the peace beneath.
You are the love light at his/her side
Always aware of the things they need.
You are the shield behind them
You are the shelter above.
You are the joy bright in his/her heart
In you I put my trust.
Amen.
Make my son know Your ways, O LORD; teach him Your paths. Lead him in Your truth and teach him, for You are the God of his salvation; for You I wait all the day. Keep him from running after his own wisdom, Father. May I humbly keep my son's heart firmly upon Your path as You teach me Your truth and embed it into my soul more and more each day.
