Prayer For My Parents

Please pray for my parents and their marriage. They've been married for over 20 years. We recently found that my father has been seeing another woman for the last year, and though he keeps swearing to us that he's going to fix things and that he loves my mother he still continues to see this woman. He doesn't know that we know and every day I'm seeing my mother break down more and more. It's hurting her. My younger sibling and I hurt with her. It's gotten to be too much to handle.

Please pray that my father sees the error of his ways and ends his relationship with that woman. Pray that my mother can heal from this and that we can, too. Pray that the Lord gives her the strength she needs to face this and that He can lead my father down the right path. Amen.

Please pray for my parents who are both dealing with health issues and are hospitalized that they may be healed. I also pray for strength for family who cannot be with them at this difficult time. May God be with everybody as we all face this difficult journey.

I ask you to protect my parent from the evil one, and show the way out in moments of temptation (2 Thessalonians 3:3; 1 Corinthians 10:13). May wisdom, discretion and understanding protect and guide every day (Proverbs 4:6; 2:11; 138:7).

I pray my parent will be courageous, confident in Your presence, help and deliverance (Psalm 121:1-8; Deuteronomy 31:6; Isaiah 41:10; Psalm 34:19; Psalm 91).

I am grateful my parent trusted in You long ago, but I know there are many parents and elderly loved ones who still do not know you, Lord, and I ask you to woo them to Yourself and bring about their salvation and transformation (Ephesians 2:8-9; 2 Timothy 1:9; 2 Peter 3:9).

I pray You will bring to my loved one's remembrance all the ways You have been their hope and helpin many cases since childhood (Psalm 62:5; 71:5; 121:2).

Almighty God,
You know that we are surrounded by many great dangers, and because of our human frailty we cannot withstand them. Give us health of mind and body so that we who suffer under sin may overcome and win the victory in you; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Amen.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of the faithful, and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created. And you will renew the face of the earth.
O God, who has taught the hearts of the faithful, by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the same spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in his consolation, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Dear God, bless my grandparents. Bless ( ), and care for them as they grow older.
Help me to show my love and to be understanding if they get a little tired. Young and old, keep us close in the life we share, as they show me lots and love me heaps. Amen.

Lord, I pray Your emotional, physical, and spiritual protection over my parents. Keep evil far from them, and help them to trust You as his refuge and strength. I pray You will guard their mind from harmful instruction, and grant them discernment to recognize truth. I pray You will make them strong and courageous in the presence of danger, recognizing that You have overcome and will set right all injustice and wrong one day. Help them to find rest in Your shadow, as he lives in the spiritual shelter You provide for them. Let them know that the only safe place is in Jesus, and that his home on earth is only temporary.
