Prayer For My Mother Who Just Passed Away
Jesus, I know that when you walked on the earth, you trod upon hard places, you felt the strain of this world and the pressures of mental torment. So I ask that you would come besides me now, lead me through this time where my mind cannot cope. Help me to find peace and calming inner thoughts. You hold me safe Lord, I trust in you. Amen.
I loved her as mom,
You love her like a child.
I miss her every day, O Lord
You're with her now, in heavens hold.
I grieve the loss of the one I loved,
You dance for joy as your girl comes home.
I feel the sadness of her passing,
You celebrate her as your own.
I sometimes glimpse your eternal plans
You see everything, so clearly.
So Father God come oh so close
As I miss my mother dearly.
May you find shelter. Shelter in the love and prayers of family and friends. May you find time to rest. Rest in the comfort of warm memories and moments shared. May you find heavenly hope. Hope in the renewal of creation, in beauty and life. May you stay close to Jesus. Jesus, the great redeemer, leading our eyes to eternal skies.
My memories are treasures now, I'll value, keep and sow, I know she's taken all her riches, left the chaff and worn the gold! As time passes, I'll forget the hurt and pain she bore, For now, she's free, restored and peaceful, in your arms forevermore. I'll let each bulb, each bud, each bloom, sing to me of your love. For you reign in eternity, and I'll wait for your kingdom to come. Thank you for my special mum, I trust her to your care, We rest in your arms secure and safe, we are both children there.
God,
I am crying out for help in this difficult time.
Help me to find some light in this darkness.
Lift my eyes to see even the faintest glimmer of hope
And hold tight to you.
Lord, you are beside me, stay close today.
Surround me with your love.
Help me to remember your goodness and trust in your saving grace.
May my tears turn to joy
And may your light flood this soul.
For surely you are my saviour,
My friend, and my guide.
Amen.
O Lord,
I walk in a bleak landscape.
I feel empty and the weather seems cold.
I keep putting one foot in front of the other,
Yet have little strength to lift my head.
Lead me through this dark valley,
Be with me and hold me close.
I trust that eventually I will find myself
At the peak of this grief mountain.
I want to see again, to feel again and to live again.
Amen.
You watched us make the same mistakes,
That you had made before,
But that just made you hold us tight,
And love us all the more.
We haven't always thought about
The things that you have seen.
To us you've just been Mother',
No thought of who you've been.
But we remember now in love,
Your life from start to end,
And we're just glad we knew you,
As Mother, and as Friend.
I close my eyes and see the multi-colored wings
surround me in my saddest moments and my happiest times.
Mother my angel God has given you your assignment
always my mother forever my angel.
You fly into my dreams and when I am asleep
I feel your wings brush against my face wiping away
the tears I shed since I can no longer hold
you in my arms but in my heart.
You earned those wings dear mother
and you will always be me angel eternal.
