Prayer For My Family Poem
It's beyond the pad and pen,
And bigger than what I'd say.
Really, I could only say amen,
To describe how I feel today.
So I'll speak so let it be,
Because you're desired in my heart.
My hands have not come up empty,
Nor have I worn another scar.
With you came a new purpose,
An after-life beyond the death.
No longer do I feel worthless;
I have a reason to breathe another breath.
The Lord's love and protection
Are never so far,
That he cannot reach us
Wherever we are.
His arm outstretched
Like an eagle's wing,
Ever hovering with the love
And care he brings.
Enlightened by his strength
And comforting power,
We may rest and be assured
Every day, every hour.
I love you more than words can say
You were created by our Maker
He made you in a special way.
Despite the trials and temptations we may face
God has pulled us through
By His boundless mercy and grace.
The love of our Father on that we depend
Unchanging, unmerited favor to men
Will keep us until our days on earth end.
We love because He first loved us,
On that we can depend
A verse of the Bible near and dear
To the broken hearted His love He does send.
For God so loved the world
That the greatest sacrifice
Was His one and only son
Who paid the ultimate price.
Love can always conquer
Whatever discord brings
and love can also cover
a multitude of things.
Don't you underestimate
what love can ever do,
for love is God eternal
and His love can renew.
What is cold and lifeless,
now lost all hope and died,
for love can breathe new meaning
and give it back new life.
Please don't give up on love
when it seems that all is lost,
for there is always hope
if we're prepared to pay the cost.
For love is always worth it
no matter how much the price,
for love will be much stronger
when we trust in Jesus Christ.
So let God have full reign,
let Him live within your heart
then you will know true love,
for this He will impart.
Love is patient, Love is kind
Through Jesus Christ, love you will find.
Love does not envy, It is not puffed up
Seek Him with your heart, He will fill your cup.
Love does not behave rudely, does not seek its own
Be kind to others, for this God has shown.
Love bears, believes, hopes and endures all things,
Give love to all and blessings God brings.
Love Never Fails.
Today I woke up
And said a prayer for you
I prayed that you'd forgive me
For all the stupid things I do
I prayed for a love to find you
A love so pure and true
A love that will never die
Like the love I feel for you
I said a prayer for the ones you love
And the ones that love you
I prayed that you'd see the sky
In all it's beautiful blue
A prayer in my mind
A prayer in the air
A prayer soaring up
without a care
I made up my mind to say a prayer
Each and every day
A prayer that you'd find happiness
in every single way.
Father, I thank you for the days and nights,
And thank you for this warm morning light.
For food and shelter, for your loving care,
And for all in this world that is good and fair.
Help us to be gentle, honest and true,
To show more kindness in all that we do.
To smile and be pleasant in all that we say,
To grow more loving each and every day.
To lend a helping hand, help others in need,
And to love one another as you have loved me.
