Prayer For Lying

God, by Your divine grace I will not be deceived. I will not accept the lies of the enemy that are against You and against Your Holy Commandments; against the truth about who Jesus Christ is: God in human form, Lord and Savior, born of a virgin, died on a cross, who on the 3rd day was physically and gloriously raised from the dead.

He is King, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is my Lord. He is my Savior. I pledge my total love and allegiance to Jesus Christ.

You have given me the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit. He will lead me and He will guide me away from error into all truth. I am a sheep of your pasture. Your sheep hear your voice and the voice of a stranger I will not follow.

Thank you, God, for giving me wisdom and discernment in these last days to not only lead my life but to lead my family, to lead my spouse and to lead my children in the ways of justice, truth and righteousness.

Dear God in Heaven, I will not accept the lies of the enemy against my own soul, against my own life and against my better judgment. I reject all forms of deception that the enemy has tried to sow into my own heart from childhood to this point in my life.

I come against every lie that has tried to find a home in my thought life, in my mind, in my heart, and in my soul and I reject it in Jesus' name. I receive the truth of what the Word of God declares me to be. I am a child of God.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am loved by God, called by God, chosen by God, anointed by God and appointed by God for such a time as this. My life counts. My life matters. I have a purpose.

I have a future and I have a destiny that I must fulfill through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. I will remain true to the word of God and the teachings of scripture.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord God, You speak the truth and declare what is right (Isaiah 45:19). I praise You, God of Truth, author of the book of truth (Daniel 10:21, Psalm 31:5). Thank you for guiding us into all truth through Your Spirit of Truth (John 16:13). Your Son Jesus is full of grace and truth. He is the way, the truth and the life (John 1:14, 14:6). In a world that claims there is no such thing as truth, You are the ultimate standard of truth.

Your Word tells us how much You abhor dishonesty (Psalm 5:6)! Lord, I don't want falsehood to hinder my prayers; rather, I desire to be one who speaks the truth from my heart so I can enjoy being in Your presence (Psalm 15:1-2, Psalm 101:6-7). In humility, I ask Your forgiveness for the times I have been less than entirely honest. I consider myself to be completely honest in the big things and almost pride myself in being honest in the little things, too. Pride precedes error and it is so easy to slip up on half-truths, exaggerations or with embellished truths. Please send Your Spirit to guide me in all I say and do. I want to be a reflection of You.

I thank You for blessing my children, ________ and ________, with ________ (list character qualities relating to honesty). Impress on them 1 Peter 3:10-12 which states, Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. Please inspire my children to be people who refuse to speak anything but the truth. May they choose lives of righteousness and integrity so You can allow them the privilege of entering Your presence and the blessing of answered prayer (Psalm 24:3-4, Psalm 34:15).

Satan will come to my children and tell them it is okay to tell a little lie, that lying is acceptable because everyone does it and that no one will find out about their lie. Please send Your angels to remind ________ and ________ of how much You detest lying lips and how much You delight in people who are truthful (Proverbs 12:22). Give them the strength of character to tell the truth despite expected punishment or pressure from peers. I pray that they will share David's prayer of Psalm 119:29-30: Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me through Your law. I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on Your laws.

I ask that our family will be characterized by integrity. May we highly esteem truth-telling and be known as those who can be trusted to tell the truth, regardless. Thank you for Your promise to watch over us when we choose the path of righteousness for our lives (Psalm 1:6, Psalm 25:20-21). Amen.

Dear Lord,

thank you for another day to worship you and to follow you. Lord, I pray for husbands who struggle with lying. I pray that they would feel the awesome conviction of the Holy Spirit about what they are doing. Proverbs 26:28 says a lying tongue hates its victims. They are hating their wives and are making them victims when they lie. Show theme that you hate even the little lies. Lord, may we all walk in truth and in light. I pray that they all would repent of their lying tongue and begin to speak truth .

In Jesus' name, amen!

Dear God,

I pray for marriages today. I ask that every marriage would be strengthened. I pray for reconciliation and restoration. I pray that lying would be eradicated from marriages. I pray for husbands and wives who are tempted with lying. I pray that husbands and wives would feel convicted in their hearts about lying, that they would repent and not lie anymore. I pray that they would respect each other by not lying. I pray that they would recognize lies when they come, even thoughts that are lies. I pray that You cleanse those who struggle with lying, releasing them of this stronghold. I pray Lord, that the art of lying and manipulation would not trickle down as an example to children. Stop it in its tracks! I pray that when a temptation comes to lie that You would bring a verse, encouragement, a way out. I pray that righteousness would abound in the character of husbands and wives. I pray against lying in Jesus' Name Amen!

I come before you in the name of Jesus and ask for the forgiveness of my sins. Forgive me for all the lies I have ever told anybody.
Forgive me for hiding my sins from you and covering up with excuses thereby grieving the Holy Spirit whom you sent to be my guide and comforter.
Forgive me also for the lies I tell myself thereby opening the doors for the devil to attack my mind and body.
Teach me to speak the truth always and to give honest answer at all times
I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear God, Forgive me for ever telling lies and being deceitful to people and most importantly to those I love.
My heart is heavy and my conscience is filled with guilt.
I know if I do not confess and repent of my sins you will not hear me.
The Bible says that telling lies and being deceitful is one of the detestable sins before you
Also, one of your commandments say that we should not tell lies (Leviticus 19:11) but I have been disobedient and my conscience is filled with guilt, please forgive me..
