Prayer For Hope In A Relationship
O Lord my God, thank you that you are my ever-present help in times of trouble. You said that I should love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me. In friendships that have broken down, I pray that you would help me love. In relationships that are in conflict, would you help me to pray. Hear my prayer for the restoration of my relationships. May your peace be in my heart, your grace be in my words, your love be in my hands and your joy be in my soul. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
Faithful Father, thank you that your word revives my soul, gives wisdom to my mind and produces joy in my heart. Restore my relationships that have been damaged by sin. When I have sinned against others, help me to repent and seek forgiveness. When others have sinned against me, help me to forgive just as I have been forgiven by you. May the Lord Jesus Christ, who loved me and gave me eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort my heart and establish me in every good thought, word and deed. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Mighty God, thank you that your word enlightens my eyes, purifies my soul and preserves me for eternal life. Your word says that we should keep loving one another earnestly since love covers a multitude of sins. Thank you that your love has covered my sin. I pray that you would fill me with the same love for others, so that I may restore relationships that have been affected by sin. You have loved me and have freed me from my sins by Jesus' blood. To you be glory and dominion forever and ever. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
King of Kings, Lord of Lords, thank you that you possess infinite riches of wisdom, goodness and power. Bring peace in all my relationships Lord. Help me to work for the restoration of relationships that are broken down. Bless me with your love that I may love others who have hurt me. Bless me with your peace that I may bring calmness instead of confidence. May you, Lord, make me increase and abound in love for others. May you establish my heart as blameless in holiness before you. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Oh Lord,
I am weary. I am tired. I am angry.
I don't understand why You have kept me away from someone I love so immensely. I don't understand why this horrible separation drags on and on.
I know that you are good to those who wait for You, but I am struggling to believe anything good can come from this. This pain feels too severe, too cruel to be worth the results. My endurance and my hope have faded into oblivion. Where are you, God?
My memory is all too familiar with this suffering, and I am crushed underneath its weight.
But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: Your steadfast love never ceases. Your mercies never come to an end they are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.
You are near when my boyfriend is distant. You are faithful though I am faithless.
Though my heart cries out and criticizes You, I will trust with my mind that this suffering will not last forever, for you are a compassionate God. I will find comfort in the fact that you do not delight in seeing me suffer, for affliction does not come from your heart.
How can I complain of this suffering, God? In the deepest part of my heart I know I am a sinner, and I do not deserve anything but your wrath. And yet you have loved me. Yet you have given me a man who loves me. Yet you hear my prayers. Why am I so selfish?
You are my portion, oh God. You alone can satisfy the longings of my heart. How quick I am to forget this, how eager to place all my hope in a man.
Forgive me for demanding your blessings, as if You owe me a peaceful and happy dating relationship. Forgive me for failing to see that the knowledge of You is the most precious gift that can come from this struggle.
Let me return to You and let me seek You. Silence my grumbling heart and help me to wait quietly for your salvation. Anchor my wandering heart in Your steadfast love.
May this yoke upon my soul discipline me to always walk in your ways. May this season of lament teach me to turn to You in every circumstance.
I will put my hope in You, even when my heart cannot hold fast. You are my God, and I will worship you in this spiritual winter.

The ways of the world and our sinful nature do not surprise You. In a way that only You can, move our hearts towards compassion and peace when our anger flares. Clear our hearts of bitterness and resentment. We don't want to be unforgiving people, God. Christ died on the cross to forgive our unmentionable sins. You, alone, know the long version of our story. Convict us to tell it often. Make us a channel of Your Love. Prune us of the habits and relationships that lead us astray. Reveal encouragement and hope to us in Your Word.
In Christ, we are a new creation. Thank You for changing us, as painful as growth can be, and drawing us closer to You with every note of bitterness and resentment we shed. Protect us from harboring these unhealthy emotions, and guard our hearts as we stumble in Jesus' footsteps. We love You, LORD. We trust You with our lives and pray Your purpose for them over our plans. May all who witness our lives know Your unspeakable love by the way we live. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

I offer you this prayer, to help me with my current relationship situation. Please take away all the pain and hurt in my heart. Fill it with love, joy, patience, and understanding. Bless me and my partner, so that we may never surrender to whatever challenges that come our way. Fill our hearts with love for each other, and may you make each one of us realize each other's worth. Please touch the heart of my partner,fill it with much love for me. Make our complicated relationship become uncomplicated. I seek for your mercy and blessing that you may allow us to spend the rest of our lives with each other. Please make this feeling mutual for both of us. Lead us not into temptations. Guide us wherever we go. Always put us in each other's heart and mind. Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer. I love you. Amen.
