Prayer For Growth And Change
Jesus, my Savior, I thank You for answering the prayers that were spoken over my child before he/she reached adulthood. I prayed that my child would be taught by You so that the peace that my child experiences would be great. I can now see that the peace that You have promised my child is evident in his/her life. Thank You for being the peace within my adult child's life and within my grandchildren's life. Amen.
God of Power, please have Your divine way in my adult child's life. Society has fed my child many lies about how we should live and about what is acceptable. I know that the only voice that matters is Yours. I pray that Your word will continue to resonate in the heart of my child. I pray that my child lives by the principle that his/her body is a temple of Your Holy Spirit within them. My child is not my own, my child is not his/her own, but he/she was bought with a price. So, I declare that he/she will glorify You in his/her body. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I pray for my adult child's life. I know that he/she has experienced many things in life and has learned how to cope without me. I pray that You continue to be the compass in my child's life. I pray that my child will continue to trust in You with all his/her heart and will not lean on his/her own understanding. I pray that You are acknowledged in all his/her ways. Please continue to direct my child's path. Amen.
O Lord, Mighty in Power, I thank You for the gift of my child. He/she has made me so proud, and has exceeded every expectation I ever had for parenthood. Thank You for blessing me with a child who has honored and obeyed me. My life has been so full because I have You, my Lord Jesus, and I have my beautiful child. Now that he/she is grown, please help him/her stay straight on the path I have taught him/her, keep him/her close to You, and protect him/her all the days of his/her life. Amen.
Father of Compassion and Mercy, I pray for my child and my child's future spouse. Your word says that a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined with his wife, and they shall become one flesh. I pray that when my child chooses his/her spouse, that You will lead him/her to a Godly, love, patient spouse. Please bless my child's future marriage and help my child keep the vows of holy matrimony. Amen.
All-Powerful Father, I thank You for who You are. I thank You for being with my child from the very beginning, through adolescence into adulthood. I thank You into adulthood. I pray that You continue to be the strength of my child's life. Your word declares that nothing will be impossible with You, and I pray that my child never lives without You by his/her side. I declare that Your light will continue to shine upon him/her for the rest of his/her days. Amen.
Sovereign Lord Jesus, please help my child to prosper, and for his/her children's children to prosper. Please help him/her with his/her career, so that he/she does well and gets promoted. Please help my grandchildren at school, so that they have many friends and get good grades. Please bring joy to their household, and safeguard them from tragedy. I thank You, holy Lord Jesus, in advance for the supernatural increase in my family's life. In Jesus' awesome name, I pray. Amen.
Awesome God, I pray that You will have Your divine way in my child's life. As an adult, there are struggles and difficulties he/she is facing, and will continue to face throughout this life. I pray that in his/her trials, Your grace will be sufficient for him/her, for Your power is made perfect in his/her weakness. I praise You all the more gladly because of his/her weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon him/her. I know that You hear the cries of You people, and that You will do good in Your own way, and on Your own time. Amen.
