Prayer For God's Mercy

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for the gift of good health and peace that we have enjoyed for so many years. As we find ourselves in this time of crisis today,
we ask for your divine intervention and mercy to be upon each of us.

We lift up all those in leadership during these difficult times.
Father, we ask that you will be their guide as they navigate
through this time of uncertainty. May they be discerning in the decisions that they make,
always working for the common good of all.

We pray especially for those in government,
that You will grant them wisdom, prudence, and foresight,
as they work to eradicate this scourge from their land.

We also pray for Church leaders, that they continue to be effective pastors to Your people.
Help them discover new and creative ways to reach out to Your children
and to be messengers of Your Gospel of peace, hope, and love.

Come and guide the minds of those working to discover a treatment to the COVID-19.
Grant them wisdom, knowledge, and clarity of mind,
so that all peoples will be free from the threat of this ailment.

We also pray for the healthcare workers that are standing in the front line of this battle.
Father, we thank you for their hearts of service,
putting the needs of society before their own,
generously responding to the cry of Your people.

We ask that You grant them strength and protection.
As they give of themselves in selfless service,
may You fill them with your Holy Spirit as they work to be Your healing hands and feet!

Father, we also surrender to You all those who have been afflicted with the virus.
Grant them Your healing grace, merciful Father,
so that they may recover swiftly and continue to be witnesses of Your love in their lives.

We lift up to you those who have lost loved ones through this pandemic,
that you will give them comfort in their time of need,
and that you will grant eternal rest to those who have returned to you.

Mother Mary, we ask for your intercession in this great time of need.
Cover each of us with your mantle of protection,
so that we may be preserved in good health to continue to glorify your son, Jesus Christ.
We make this prayer through Christ, our Saviour and Redeemer.

Amen.

Oh Lord, intervene in this issue of my life ( mention the issue) before I become a laughingstock before my enemies. Have mercy on me before my enemies see the signs of my frustration in Jesus name.

Oh God of mercy! Have mercy on me today and let your mercy snatch me from those who seek my death in Jesus name.

Dear God, I love and adore you. I am grateful for every breath I take, a roof over my head, for the shoes on my feet, and the food on my table. Lord, I pray for your love and mercy to complete me and make me whole. As a human, I find myself complaining and being ungrateful. Teach me to always be content and know that your grace is sufficient every day. Ignite my heart's desire to live in your presence and take me as your own. Amen.

Oh Most Merciful God, hear my cry and look to me with your merciful eyes. I may not be worthy of your presence Lord, but I strip myself of all connection to fleshly desires and bind myself to you. Father, show mercy upon me and stretch your hand towards me in time of need. Please, do not forsake me, hear me when I call, heal me of my pains, and set me up to live and proclaim your glory. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You that by Your Holy Spirit You have bestowed on each of Your children different spiritual gifts, (or just one special gift..) that by Your grace is to be used for the encouragement and edification of the whole body of Christ. Thank You Lord for the way that You have gifted each of us in a very special and precious way, enabling us..by Your grace, to make a unique contribution, to the furtherance of Your plans and purposes in the body of Christ - that HE is all in all. Father, You have given me a special heart of love toward my brothers and sisters in Christ.. and although I am not gifted to teach, or to carry out some of the more overt gifts of the Spirit, I do wonder if You are developing in me the precious gift of encouragement, mercy and love towards my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Lord I pray that if You are taking me down this route, that You would use me as a sanctified vessel, that not only to pour out mercy and love without measure on other people, but that You would use me to encourage others to show the same mercy and forgiveness to their brothers and sisters in the body of Christ - and in the wider world beyond. Lord I know that in and of myself I have nothing that commends me for this special ministry of mercy and edification, for I know that without Christ I can do nothing - but praise God that in Christ I can do all things - for He gives me the strength. May I be pliable clay in the Potter's hand and permit You to shape me into the person that You would have me be and use me in Your way and in Your time to Your praise and glory, in Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Dear Father God, I praise and thank You for Your loving-kindness and great mercy which is new every morning and remains steadfast and sure throughout the day - to strengthen and hold. Thank You for the glory of the cross.. knowing that I was a estranged from Your heart of love and an outcast from the kingdom of heaven. Words cannot describe the wonderment that You sent Your only begotten Son to come to earth as a Man - and to live a life of rejection and sorrow, and to suffer and die for me on the cross of Calvary - so that I might be forgiven of all my sins and live with You eternally in heaven.

Thank You Father that although I was unworthy to approach You glorious throne, and enslaved in the kingdom of darkness, yet in Your mercy and grace You stooped down to me and lifted me out of the Satan's bondage and from the cesspit of sin, and seated me together with Christ in heavenly places and showered me with Your undeserved grace and favor. Thank You that I am now one of Your redeemed children, in Jesus' name I pray,

Amen
