Prayer For Forgiveness In Marriage

Today, we give our marriages to You. Forgive us for putting them and our spouses before You. Forgive us for putting ourselves as well as our desires and plans for the future before You and Yours.

Search our hearts, Lord. Convict us and clear out all the hardness and ick that is clogging up the flow of Love in our lives. Reset our relationship with You. Restore our hope in Jesus Christ and open our minds and hearts to the healing truth that only He can rush into our lives in these moments of madness.

Give us the strength to be brave. Replace the fear of what might happen and what the future might hold with Christ-centered courage. We can't be strong right now. We are broken and barely breathing. But You, the living God, in us, are our strength.

Through the Holy Spirit of the One True God, empower us with humility, gentleness, patience, peace, and unity (Ephesians 4:2-3). Curb our anger from morphing into bitterness and hatred. Forgive us for the times we lose our tempers and our sanity towards our spouse. Amen.

Father, thank you for first forgiving me through your son Jesus. Please allow me to see the plank in my own eye when I'm unwilling to forgive the person I promised to love in good times and bad. Please give me eyes to see my spouse's repentant heart and ears to hear the sound of reconciliation in our marriage. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Father,

I ask that you would help find forgiveness for my husband for the lies that I told him. I did not mean to hurt his heart and I ask for your forgivness. I ask you Lord that you would turn my husband back toward me, that he would see his commitment and vows that we stood before you and took with our whole hearts. He is a good man and I ask that you would touch his heart so that he can again see the good in me, as we once were and help him to understand that I was scared when I lied because I was afraid of losing him. I pray you would touch him in such a way that he his anger would banish and the love would once again surface, not only for me but for the children. I have asked for your forgivenss of my sins and I pray Lord, that he would realize that forgiveness is the answer.

I pray that he could once again see the wonderful, beautiful unity that you brought together and how much I love him. Please bless us so that he does not leave our family. Bring forgiveness and your Holy Spirit to him as only you can. I know it's in your time God, but I don't have much time before he leaves, so I pray to you that you would reach out and touch is heart today.

I trust in you and I believe in you and I love you. Amen

Heavenly Father we come before you to thank you for all you have done and continue to do in our lives and marriage. We come before you today, God, asking for a stronger bond of unity in our marriage covenant.

Father we ask that you will give us the ability to be a united front for you letting nothing come between us. Help us, Father to identify and work through anything that is not pleasing to you so we can continually reach higher levels of unity in our marriage spiritually, physically, and mentally.

We are thankful and excited to see the work of your hand as we do our best to seek your face daily. We love you and thank you for all of these things. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen!

Thank You for Your grace. Thank You for forgiving me when I don't deserve it. I pray that in my marriage I can forgive my husband just as You forgive me. Help me to extend grace to him. I pray for other couples as well, couples who are holding onto bitterness and resentment and hurt. Please help them to forgive each other and reconcile their relationship. May Your will be done in us and may the testimony of Your redeeming love reflect in our marriages in Jesus' name AMEN!

Dear God:

I know that I am not worthy and thus humbly beg for your mercy and God, in Jesus name I ask that you grant me the grace of saving my marriage.

I have been married for just six months with a woman I known for 8 years and love very much. She has a 10 year old daughter that I have known since she was two years old. I consider to me my child. The time since we got married has been very difficult and we have grown apart. I suspect that she is involved in another relationship but, will not believe it. She is very rude with me and will not come close to me. When we talk it always end in an argument. She is out almost every night and returns very late (past 3 am). I know that I have made a lot of mistakes and I regret all of them. She expected me to give her a different life and I disappointed her and my daughter. For this I am very sorry.

Please fill our hearts with forgiveness and infinite love for each other. Make use reconcile or differences so that our marriage that had a very bad beginning can become a long, happy and glorious marriage. Remove all outside influences that separate us. I love her and my daughter very much. I forgive her and I ask that you fill her heart with forgiveness for me and Lord that you forgive us both.

I know that there are too many people that are suffering and need your help and I beg that you assist them in their time of need. Grant them the grace and healing that they need even if they do not ask.

I place all my love, faith and trust in your hands and in your words Ask, and Ye Shall Receive, And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do.

AMEN

Heavenly Father, as we strive to continuously build a stronger marriage, help us to forgive one another for things that may hurt or offend us. Help us to walk in forgiveness and never lose sight of the fact that you have forgiven us.

Help us to show your mercy and grace to our spouse each time they need it and not bring up past hurts or failures. Let us be an example of forgiveness to not only our spouse but to those around us so we can continue to show your love to all we meet. Help us to also forgive ourselves if we struggle with condemnation.Thank you for your life-giving words of truth that we may be redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen!
