Prayer For Food Before Eating
Bless us, O Lord, and these, Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen
We pause to give thanks for the blessings of this meal. May the food and our
conversation celebrate God's goodness and inspire us to greater service. We thank
You, Lord, for gathering us here to share this day and this meal. We are grateful
for time with colleagues, for fond memories and the food that has been prepared
for us. Keep us mindful of those less fortunate than we and creative in ways to
share Your love. Bless us, these gifts and fill us with gratitude and love as we
celebrate in Your name. Amen.

You are good Lord and You bless their bread and water and take sickness from them.
In Jesus Name right now we call their food blessed and clean.
We declare that it shall be nourishment to their bodies.
We call it protected and safe to consume in Jesus Name.
Thank You for Your promise that even if they drink any deadly thing it will not hurt them.
Lord, we ask You for Your divine wisdom when preparing meals and what to order when eating out.
In Jesus Name they will resist the flesh and make good decisions about what they eat.
You will give them wisdom generously without finding fault with them. Thank You.
In the Name of Jesus they resist the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes as they scan the menu.
Thank You Father that the listener receives this food with thanksgiving and will eat the amount that is sufficient for them.
In the wonderful and precious Name of Jesus we pray, amen.
Lord we thank You and praise You for giving the listener the food that they need today.
Yes, they receive this food with thanksgiving and praise.
Everything You have created is good and nothing is to be thrown away or refused if it is received with thanksgiving.
Father, everything that You have created is good.
Lord Jesus, as we eat, help us to remember your provision and goodness.
May this lunchtime be more than food to us.

Time to remember those who hunger
Time to dwell upon your sacrifice.

Oh Most High God, my Father, I thank You that You first loved us (1 John 4:19) and as a Father we ask you to please help us trust You even more. You have said that our worth is far more in value than many sparrows and we know that You provide for Your creatures, so how much more will You provide for us! Thank You for that comforting knowledge that You will never leave us or forsake us (Heb 13:5) and for the abundance we are about to partake in, we thank You, and in His Great Name, Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
Righteous, Heavenly Father, I thank You for blessing us with so much. We are so thankful for your generosity to our family and so now, let us give You thanks for the meal we are about to have and may we ever be thankful for Your daily provisions for us and never take for granted Your precious promises, most of which is eternal life through Your Son, Jesus Christ. To Him we also thank for our redemption is through Him alone (Acts 4:12) and so please bless this food to the strength and nourishment of our bodies and in His most precious name, Jesus Christ, I pray.
