Prayer For Envy And Jealousy
Everlasting Father, the spirit of jealousy is consuming my life. I don't want to live in this bondage anymore. I have allowed the enemy to lead me astray with thoughts of insecurity. Forgive me, Father. Change my heart that I may be able to see the beauty in everyone and to be happy for them genuinely. Close any demonic doors that I have opened in my life because of being jealous. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Father God, help me never to be jealous of other people. Lord, I know that I struggle with jealousy because I'm not confident in who I am. Help me to stop looking at myself and to start looking at Jesus who is my confidence. When anxious thoughts start flooding my mind, Holy Spirit, point me back to Jesus and help me to focus on him alone. Teach me how to be confident and use me as a vessel to help other people that are struggling with jealousy to become confident. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray, Amen.
.King of Glory, may my thoughts conform to yours that everything I do or say may be pleasing to you. Forgive me for not being thankful for the blessings that you've given me. Help me to find contentment in you that I may conquer jealousy thoughts that flood my mind from time to time. If there are any thoughts of jealousy in my heart, Father, bring them to my attention and help me to deal with them so that I can live a life that is pleasing to you. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Gracious Father, sometimes I act like I am more deserving than other people, and when things don't go my way, I end up being very jealous. Other times I become obsessed with thoughts of wanting to become like someone else, and this leaves me insecure. Forgive me, dear Lord, and help me to become a better person. Let the blood of your son Jesus cleanse me from the effects of jealousy and may you fill me with peace, love and joy. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray, Amen.
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. -Galatians 5:1326
Lord, you taught me that envy could only bring harm and pain. You did not create this feeling, but it hurts you to see how we humans let our souls and our thoughts be consumed by envy, even in situations that would seem silly.
You have given us the strength to fight against it and let us defeat evil.
That is why today, I ask you to intercede for the soul and spirit of all sinners. Your son died on the cross for us. Please let us redeem ourselves and correct our mistakes.
Let us see that envy only brings destruction, which is always accompanied by anger and rage. Let us see those negative feelings impoverish the soul, make it more substantial and more manipulable in the face of more evil.
It protects my loved ones and me from the evil eye and envy. I can know when my life is being affected by them, but I need the courage and strength to take them entirely away from my being.
Let me feel only love, compassion, humility, and joy, for these are the feelings that remind me of your teachings and thoughts.
Amen.
Father, remove all hatred, anger, murder, envy and rebellion from my heart, that I will NO longer give in to envy and jealousy. Uproot any and all unforgiveness in my life for any pain I endured. Help me to forgive those who abused me. Help me to forgive DEEP in my heart, that nothing of the enemy would be found in me Lord! Heal me in my inner man, that I can be free Lord to be like YOU! Help me to walk in intimacy with You, always looking to YOU and not depending on my own self or selfishness.
Give me a peaceful spirit Lord and overwhelm me with YOUR GOODNESS.
I worship YOU Father and lay down my life before you.
I surrender my thoughts and opinions to YOU. I give You permission to burn off all that cannot withstand the test Lord! Make me a new person.
You said, that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. So make me new and pleasing to You Father. GRANT me GREAT GRACE to fight the good fight, to speak Your Word and to BELIEVE all You have told me.
James 3:14 AMP But if you have bitter jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry, selfish ambition) in your hearts, do not pride yourselves on it and thus be in defiance of and false to the Truth.
Help me Lord to LOVE my brother and sister, even as You have loved me.
Thank You Father, that you rescued me from a life of sin and death. Thank You that you brought me into the light and will keep my by the power of Your grace. Speak truth to my inner man and and help me to LOVE the Truth for YOU are TRUTH Lord and nothing is hidden from You. Create in me a pure heart oh Lord and renew a steadfast spirit within me!
1 Peter 2:1-2 Amp So be done with every trace of wickedness (depravity, malignity) and all deceit and insincerity (pretense, hypocrisy) and grudges (envy, jealousy) and slander and evil speaking of every kind. Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto salvation
Father, remove any PRETENSE over my life. Open my spiritual eyes to see me as You see me Lord. Remove any false images I have of You Father. Heal my heart and help me to see myself as You want me to Lord. Reveal to me any areas of pretense that I can be REAL and integritous in my walk with You. Come Holy Spirit and renew my heart and mind, and give me YOUR EYES to see with Lord! In Jesus' name AMEN!
Lord God, I come before you today to let you know of the pain that I have been nursing for sometimes now. I feel extremely bitter when I see other people succeeding more than I do, I'm envy when others are laughing. And I clearly know that this is against your word in the book of Romans 12:15 that we should rejoice with those who rejoice. The jealousy in my heart burns so much that I suddenly develop hatred towards anyone succeeding. Father, I pray that you will help me take away the heart of jealousy and envy in the name of Jesus.
Lord Jesus, you preached that we should love one another just like our heavenly father has loved us. You understood that love is the cure to all the illnesses in the world. Father, I ask that instead of envy and jealousy you will create a loving heart within me in the name of Jesus.
Father in heaven, it has been written that every tree that my father did not plant shall be uprooted. Lord God, I know you never planted jealousy and envy in me, the enemy did. I give you full access to my life and being, that you will destroy the works of the devil in my life in the name of Jesus.
Father Lord, I pray that you will give me a heart of gratitude that will make me bask in my contentment. Lord Jesus, I pray that you will give me the grace to be satisfied with the good things that you have done for me, and hope for the greater things that you will still do. Lord, I beg for your forgiveness for my jealousy and envy because it makes it look like you have not done any good thing for me. Lord, I seek for your forgiveness, Lord forgives me, by the precious blood that you shed on the cross of Calvary wash away my sin in the name of Jesus.
Lord Jesus, I pray that you will give me the grace to find expression through you in the name of Jesus. I know that I have the best gifts from you, I know that I have the best of all blessings from you, Lord Jesus. Give me the grace not to wish that I'm someone else, I know that I'm the best version of myself, grant me the grace to always take pride in this in the name of Jesus.
I come against every spirit of bitterness and anger that I always experience whenever I see someone progressing, I destroy such spirits in the name of Jesus. Henceforth, I begin to exhibit all the fruit of the spirit in the name of Jesus.
