Prayer For Enlightenment And Wisdom

Almighty and ever-living God,
I approach the sacrament
of Your only-begotten Son
Our Lord Jesus Christ,
I come sick to the doctor of life,
unclean to the fountain of mercy,
blind to the radiance of eternal light,
and poor and needy to the Lord
of heaven and earth.
Lord, in your great generosity,
heal my sickness,
wash away my defilement,
enlighten my blindness, enrich my poverty,
and clothe my nakedness.
May I receive the bread of angels,
the King of kings and Lord of lords,
with humble reverence,
with the purity and faith,
the repentance and love,
and the determined purpose
that will help to bring me to salvation.
May I receive the sacrament
of the Lord's Body and Blood,
and its reality and power.
Kind God,
may I receive the Body
of Your only-begotten Son,
our Lord Jesus Christ,
born from the womb of the Virgin Mary,
and so be received into His mystical body
and numbered among His members.
Loving Father,
as on my earthly pilgrimage
I now receive Your beloved Son
under the veil of a sacrament,
may I one day see him face to face in glory,
who lives and reigns with You forever.
Amen.

Almighty and everlasting God,
behold I come to the Sacrament of Thine only-begotten Son,
our Lord Jesus Christ:
I come as one infirm to the physician of life,
as one unclean to the fountain of mercy,
as one blind to the light of everlasting brightness,
as one poor and needy to the Lord of heaven and earth.
Therefore I implore the abundance of Thy measureless bounty
that Thou wouldst vouchsafe to heal my infirmity,
wash my uncleanness,
enlighten my blindness,
enrich my poverty and clothe my nakedness,
that I may receive the Bread of Angels,
the King of kings, the Lord of lords,
with such reverence and humility,
with such sorrow and devotion,
with such purity and faith,
with such purpose and intention
as may be profitable to my soul's salvation.
Grant unto me, I pray,
the grace of receiving not only the Sacrament of our Lord's Body and Blood,
but also the grace and power of the Sacrament.
O most gracious God,
grant me so to receive the Body of Thine only-begotten Son,
our Lord Jesus Christ,
which He took from the Virgin Mary,
as to merit to be incorporated into His Mystical Body,
and to be numbered amongst His members.
O most loving Father,
give me grace to behold forever
Thy beloved Son with His face at last unveiled,
whom I now purpose to receive under the sacramental veil here below.
Amen.

O Mary, Mother of fair love, of fear, of knowledge, and of holy hope, by whose loving care and intercession many, otherwise poor in intellect, have wonderfully advanced in knowledge and in holiness, thee do I choose as the guide and patroness of my studies; and I humbly implore, through the deep tenderness of thy maternal love, and especially through that eternal Wisdom who deigned to take from thee our flesh and who gifted thee beyond all the saints with heavenly light, that thou wouldst obtain for me by thy intercession the grace of the Holy Spirit that I may be able to grasp with strong intellect, retain in memory, proclaim by word and deed, and teach others all things which bring honor to thee and to thy Son, and which for me and for others are salutary for eternal life. Amen.

Holy Spirit, Giver of all good gifts, enter into my mind and heart. Give me the gift of knowledge and the grace to use it wisely. Help me in all my endeavors. Give me perseverance and fortitude. Help my memory, that I may remember what I learn and recall it when necessary. Guide me in the classroom. You who are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, let me not be deceived by false teaching. Our Lady of Good Studies, pray for me. Amen.

Father, I thank You for Paul who not only had a burden to pray for your people, but also, by divine relation, he understood what Your will is for each of us. So, I pray that You might now give me freedom in praying this prayer for _____ that they might come to experience all of the blessings that belong to us by faith in Christ.

Lord, expand the vision and understanding of _______ as I pray for them from this rich treasure of Your WordI do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers(read v.15-23).

In Jesus' name, Amen.

O Holy Ghost, divine Spirit of light and love, I consecrate to Thee my understanding, my heart and my will, my whole being for time and for eternity. May my understanding be always obedient to Thy heavenly inspirations and the teachings of the holy Catholic Church, of which Thou art the infallible Guide; may my heart be ever inflamed with love of God and of my neighbor; may my will be ever conformed to the divine will, and may my whole life be a faithful following of the life and virtues of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom with the Father and Thee be honor and glory for ever. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I (we) thank you that Your Word gives knowledge, instruction, wisdom, and understanding to all who pays attention to its truths. You promised to impart wisdom to me (us) if I will listen to Your Words and attain unto Your wise counsels. I (we), therefore, enter Your presence with trust, knowing that You will give me (us) wisdom according to II Chronicles 1:10. Lord God, fill me (us) with the spirit of wisdom so that I (we) will be able to discern Your will. With You, Lord, there is both strength and wisdom according to Job 12:13, In Jesus Name. Amen

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for all the blessings that you have bestowed on us. Continue to bless us with your Wisdom especially my daughter who will be appearing in Court tomorrow on my behalf. I trust her faith in You is so great and I hope I can emulate her, too. Grant the judge and our lawyer your grace that he will give justice to the party that was most aggrieved. Enlighten the third party to realize how she has been spared by our family from being imprisoned and yet had the guts to demand for more for her illegitimate daughter. Touch their hearts and their conscience including her brother who is lawyering for her.

This we pray in Jesus name. AMEN.
