Prayer For Each Day Of The Year

Almighty God, you fill all things with your presence. In your great love, keep us near you this day. Grant that in all our ways and doings we may remember that you see us, and may always have grace to know and perceive what things you would have us do, and give us strength to do the same; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Lord,

I saw the sun shining so brightly this morning. It made me remember of my family and how blessed I am that you have given them to me.

Thank you for my father, for enduring every hard day to be able to provide for us and never complains. Even on his weak days, he remains strong and hard working. Today he went to work early this morning to provide us with a good life here on earth.

Thank you for my mother who loves us unconditionally just like Mary loved Jesus. She provided us with breakfast food on the table which were very delicious.

Thank you for the gift of siblings, Lord. Life would be so dull without them. They are my first best friends and my first companions during breakfast talks.

You have truly great plans for everyone and that includes having the best siblings in the world. I may not say it as often, but I love them dearly. Bless our family today as we go our separate ways. Keep them safe from harm and lead us not into temptation. There is nothing more that I shall want but their happiness. Brings us all back home safely to each other, In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Dear Lord,

This daylight, upon waking and getting ready for my day, I pray that you give me strength today, to be strong for You in this world full of temptations.

Lord, You know that there are struggles I will go through today. I pray that you be with me as I go through them. Carry me when I am too weak. If I stumble into temptation, forgive me Father. Lead me away from them, Father. I need Your strength to overcome these evils.

When I triumph against them, I praise you, Father. For without You, I will not be where I am and I will not have the strength I have. Bless my loved ones with the strength You have given me, Lord. You are worthy of all praises and the entire honor in the world. You are my strength and my protection.

Keep me and my family safe at all times, Lord, especially those who are in transit during this morning.

In Your Son Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.

O Lord, direct our steps this day into the way of peace, and strengthen our hearts to obey your commandments. May the Dayspring visit us from on high, and give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, that they may adore you for your mercy, follow you for your truth,
desire you for your sweetness, for you are the blessed Lord God of Earth, now and forever. Amen.

Lord, may nothing separate me from You today. Teach me how to choose only Your way today so each step will lead me closer to You. Help me walk by the Word and not my feelings.

Help me to keep my heart pure and undivided. Protect me from my own careless thoughts, words, and actions. And keep me from being distracted by MY wants, MY desires, MY thoughts on how things should be.

Help me to embrace what comes my way as an opportunity . . . rather than a personal inconvenience.

And finally, help me to rest in the truth of Psalm 86:13, "Great is your love toward me." (NIV 1984)

You already see the ways I will fall short and mess up. But right now, I consciously tuck Your whisper of absolute love for me into the deepest part of my heart. I recognize Your love for me is not based on my performance. You love me warts and all. That's amazing.

But what's most amazing is that the Savior of the world would desire a few minutes with me this morning. Lord, help me to forever remember what a gift it is to sit with You like this. Amen.

Dear Lord,

Thank you that your Holy Spirit helps me to discern and understand your Word. Give me a hunger to feed my soul on Scripture every day, as you have said, man shall not live by bread alone but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4).

I recognize that living according to Scripture gives me a firm foundation for this life and the life to come because your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens (Psalm 119:89). Thank you that your Word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path so that I can walk securely. (Psalm 119:105)

Please use Scripture to teach me, rebuke me, correct me, and train me in righteousness so that I can be completely equipped to do every good work you have prepared for me. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) Let me embrace your words of life more than I embrace my fears, my insecurities, and the lies that have ensnared me.

I know that your hands formed me and made me so I know that you can give me understanding to learn your commands and teach me the Scriptures. (Psalm 119:73) Please make your Word come alive in my heart; help me to remember it and act on it so that I will not sin against you. (Psalm 119: 11)

Open my ears to your Word, so when I hear it spoken aloud, I will receive it with joy. Use it to guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. (Psalm 25:5) Help me to obey your Word so I will fully understand it and be able to move on to maturity in my faith. (Hebrews 5:12) Place godly Bible teachers in my life, and grant me the opportunity to teach Biblical truth to others.

I pray these things through the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Jesus, I have done wrong things in my life and I ask your forgiveness. I believe that you died to take the punishment for my sins upon yourself. I believe that you conquered death when you rose from the dead. You triumphed over death, and I will have eternal life in heaven because I believe in you. I invite you into my heart and life as my Lord and Savior; I am yours. Give me your Holy Spirit to comfort, guide, and teach me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Lord our God, we thank you for establishing us on the firm foundation of your Word and your promise, your promise that expresses the great longing and hope in so many people's hearts. For they do not want their lives to remain base and petty but want to look toward something higher, rejoicing that the promise can be fulfilled for them. So today we too stand ready for the coming time you are bringing, and we exult in our expectation of the future. We rejoice in the expectation of the time when you will give your Spirit to us and to all those who answer your call and become your helpers. Amen.
