Prayer For Daughter Getting Married

Heavenly Father, you have created joy and gladness, pleasure and delight, love, peace and fellowship. Pour out the abundance of your blessing upon this couple in their new life together. Let their love for each other be a seal upon their hearts and a crown upon their heads. Bless them in their work and in their companionship; awake and asleep, in joy and in sorrow, in life and in death. Finally, in your mercy, preserve them into eternity with you. May your love enfold them, your joy sustain them and your spirit empower them. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, thank you that you have forgiven all our sins at the cross. We pray for the longevity of this marriage and ask that, when they experience conflict, they would be quick to forgive in the same way that they have been forgiven by you. Help them to deal with conflict in a way that makes their relationship stronger. You have promised that you will make all things work together for their good. Please help them to trust you in the midst of conflict. We make these requests in your powerful name, Amen.

Mighty God, thank you that you give the gift of abundant, eternal life. You have said that your people should be fruitful and multiply, that your love should overflow from us to others and that we can participate in creation with you. As we pray for this marriage we ask that you would give the gift of children and cause the love in this couple to overflow towards them. Increase their faith that they would view their lives in the light of eternity. May they know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. May they be filled with all the fullness of God. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Dear God, there is a young man somewhere that I probably have never met. He is playing on a playground, sitting at a dining room table, or throwing rocks into a pond.

To be honest I have no idea what he is doing, what his life (or his face for that matter) looks like, who his family is or what values are being instilled. But I am dedicated to lifting him up to You.

This young man will one day marry my daughter

As tears roll down my cheeks, I cry out to you to bless, protect and direct his life.

I pray that you would surround him with Your love. Place people in his life that will lay a foundation of Your truth, Your love, and Your values.

Keep him safe. Keep him pure. Make him Yours.

Even now, I pray that you would prepare a love in him for his future wife and cause this love to drive his actions.

Make him sensitive to Your voice. Make him eager to seek You and to seek the plan You have for his life.

Teach him to lay down his life, for You. That he will one day lay it down for my daughter, and their children. Teach him to lead by following You.

Lord, I trust Your plan for their lives and I anticipate their union and the glory it will bring to Your Kingdom.

Amen.

Gracious God, our hearts are filled with great happiness on this the wedding day of NAME and NAME. They come before you, pledging their lives and their hearts to one another.

Grant that they may be ever true and loving, living together in such a way as to never bring heartbreak into their marriage.

Temper their hearts with kindness and help them to be sweethearts, helpmates, friend and guide, and together, may they meet the cares and problems of life more bravely.

May their home truly be a place of love and harmony where your Spirit is ever present. Bless their wedding day, we pray, and walk beside them, through all their life together. Amen.

Heavenly Father, what a joy it is to see our lovely daughter grow up and become such a radiant bride and beautiful wife. We pray that as she sets out on her journey through married life that You would lead and direct her and her husband in their lives together, and that together they would give You Your rightful place in their home and married life together.

Thank You for the joy she has been over the years, and thank You that I have been enabled by Your grace to release her from our parental protection and encourage her fly with her own wings. May she learn to find her primary support from in her own dear husband rather then her seeking refuge back home with us or with her friends!

May You be given Your rightful place in their home and may it be a place of peace and trust. May she and her husband grow closer together with each passing year, and may they find that in each other they have all that they need in a secure marriage partnership, anchored on Jesus, the Rock of their Salvation. In Jesus' name,

Amen.

Loving Lord, how I bless You for the heritage and gift of children and I do thank You, Father, for having given us our beautiful daughter to love and cherish and care for. I thank You with all my heart for our precious girl, whom I love so dearly.

I pray Lord, that as she grows-up she will grow closer to You with each passing year and that You would give her wisdom and discernment to know what is right and to reject that which is not of You. I pray that by Your Holy Spirit, she would cultivate in her, the spiritual graces of a godly woman and I pray that You would bring into her life the man of Your choice, to be her future husband.

I pray Lord, that he would be a true man of God. A man after God's own heart, who will be a spiritual leader to his wife and family, a man who is established in the Word of God.

I pray that he would be a man of integrity and patience, with wisdom and understanding, a man who is trustworthy and loyal, a man with strength of character and godly humility. I ask that You would keep them both pure for each other and bring the right man into her life at the right time. Thank You for hearing my prayer. In Jesus' name,

Amen.
