Prayer For Courage Strength And Wisdom
Gracious God, only source of life and health: Help, comfort, and relieve me, and give your power of healing to those who minister to my needs; that my weakness may be turned to strength and confidence in your loving care; for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your guidance. Forgive me for getting ahead of Your plans, and help me know when to stop and listen for Your direction. Your ways are perfect, Lord. Thank You for offering gentle grace. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Dear God, I know you don't want me to live in fear, but there's so much to be afraid of in my life. Every time I watch the news, I hear about issues like terrorism, identity theft, health threats, natural disasters, road rage, kidnapping??I could go on and on! I can't stop thinking What if? questions about what might happen to me or my loved ones sometime in the future. What if I have a car accident and get injured? What if I my spouse betrays me? What if someone steals from me through fraud?
What if I develop a disease? What if my children fail in school? What if I lose my job? These questions and others constantly run through my mind, and I'm powerless to do anything about them but worry, which won't help me at all. I wish I could control everything that happens to me, but to be honest, I know that I can't really control much at all.
Help me to shift my focus away from dangerous circumstances and toward you. Remind me that you, God, are in full control of my safety and security. So rather than living in fear about all that could possibly harm me, I'm going to start praying about each of my fears specifically, trusting you to help me with every situation that makes me feel afraid.
Sometimes I settle for less of a life than I want (and than you want for me) because of fear. When I neglect to say something you want me to say to the people I have relationships with, it's fear that's preventing me from communicating love to them. When I hesitate to give my best effort to something or spend my resources (like time and money) on something even when I sense you calling me to do it, I know it's because I'm scared. God, I don't want fear to stop me from living well any longer!
Please enlarge my perspective whenever my fears have shrunk my life down to less than the best that you want me to experience. Encourage me whenever you want me to contribute to the world in ways that I uniquely can help others, so fear won't stop me from moving forward. Show me what risks you want to me to take to live to the fullest and accomplish your good purposes for my life. Give me the faith I need to go ahead and take those risks, trusting that it will all be worthwhile because you will be at work in my life whenever I say yes' to you.
I realize that I probably will never stop feeling afraid as long as I live in this world. But thank you that I can still overcome fear, because the faith you give me has greater power than any fear I'll ever feel.
Give me the courage I need to say and do whatever you're calling me to, despite the fear I feel. Help me learn how to live courageously in all aspects of my life, from my relationships to my work. Light a fire of confidence in me so I can stand up for what I believe and work to do what's right in this world. May my example of courage inspire others to do the same.
Thank you for your unlimited power at work in my life, God. Amen.
Thank you, Lord, for being there for me and allowing me to cry out to you in my times of need.
It is amazing to me that the Lord of the Universe would take time to listen to me and to care about what I say.
God, there are things happening around me right now that I do not understand. Some of these things make me feel weak, helpless and afraid.
Even in the midst of this, I know that you are the Lord.
I know that the situation is in Your hand, and I trust You. I beseech you for strength and for wisdom that I would be able to endure this situation and be able to handle it in a way that would bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus name. Amen.
My Lord, today I ask for courage. There are things that I face today and, Lord, I need courage to face these trials in my life. I need the kind of courage you gave Nehemiah that he was able to speak to a king and build a wall, even in the face of opposition.
I pray that when opposition comes my way, you will make me brave. Put the words in my mouth to calm the storm that rises up against me. Even though I may be fearful, I know you are my protector.
Nehemiah 4:4 Hear us, our God, for we are despised. Turn their insults back on their own heads.
Heavenly Father, you are my shield and my sword. You are possessive of me and concerned about my well being.
You are a magnificent Abba! Whenever the enemy has tried to break me, you have been there to protect me and uplift me. You have kept me and protected me for all my years on this earth.
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Father God I come to you broken! I feel lost and have not energy. God I ask you to lift me up so I can do the things I need to do. God help me not to try and do all things on my own because I am weak and your are strong and I need you. I need you now more than ever. Father so many things seem to being going not as I hoped and I am getting a little discouraged. God its so hard starting over in Life. A new relationship I'm not sure will work a new company and a new job. God be with my partner also help him to be more like you God, may i be a blessing to him and he a blessing to me. Father i ask thee to lead and guide this relationship take us where you want it to go even if it means separated. God let your will be done in our life. Father give me the strength to carry on. Though this road is rough and rocky give me the knowledge to work with the resources that i have. God bless my finances may the little that have carry me where I need to go. Lord I thank thee for your blessings they have been so many!!! God may I hear your voice in all that i do and me you be my counselor in life's journey and in this difficult time I'm going through. Father Guide us by your Holy Spirit that we stay on the right path and always walk in your light in Christ Holy and Precious name Amen
