Prayer For Courage To Do The Right Thing

Oh Father in heaven, you sit on your throne, crowned in all majesty and glory. Your face shines on me and your hand touches me every day. You stand in courage. You crush evil and uphold righteousness. Lord, I pray that you bless me with the courage to do what is right in your eyes. May I never shake in the face of temptation, but instead, stand firm in your word and make you proud. Amen.

O heavenly Lord,

I feel like I'm being torn apart. I know what's right, but it won't be easy. Not at all. I admit it. I'm afraid. Won't you help me?

Reveal to me, O Lord, your way. Show me the firm, solid path. It may not be easy, but it's where Jesus walks. He's right there next to me. And when the climb gets steep my Lord will lift me. Carry me. For this weak and fragile soul can't do it alone.

I trust and lean on you. Build my courage to face the day. Let it not fill me with pride, instead may I be humbled knowing that in some small way I imitate Christ.

My Lord Jesus held nothing back as it was all for love. May I too go to the cross, be driven by love, and give glory to God.

Jesus I am overwhelmed by the courage you showed during your time here on Earth. It inspires me to want to be courageous too, but I know I can't do that without you. Lord help me trust in you completely, even when fear threatens to weaken my faith. You are greater and you are stronger than anything I will ever face. So when the time comes for me to be brave, help me remember you are always with me. Give me a courageous heart a heart that does the right thing even if it's afraid. A heart that walks boldly with confidence into whatever you call me to do.

Christ our Father, there are many times that this world presents obstacles in our way. Sometimes I feel like giving up. Help me be calm, rational, and carefully consider all consequences before I make any decision. Help me overcome my fear of making the wrong decision. Bless me with the strength to move forward and make a decision. I pray for your courage, now and forever. Amen.

Dear heavenly Father, as life has become unpredictable and there are many ways to earn or lose in my business, I ask that you bless me with the same courage you gave to David. David went out to fight the giant because he knew that, as a child of God, you were in control of the situation. I ask, Lord, that you guide me as I take risks in my business and try new strategies. Help me be successful because you are my Lord. Amen.
