Prayer For Courage
Dear God, I have many situations in my life that make me afraid, including my relationships, my job, my family, and personal projects. I have the desire to make things work out well and be happy. I fear that things will not turn out well. Lord, I pray that you give me the strength to pursue whatever it is I need to. Assure me that, for better for worse, you will always be with me. I need this courage to find happiness. I cannot do it without you, God. Please come to my rescue. Amen.
Dear Lord, I have gone against your will and continued to live in fear of doing what I am supposed to do. This fear cripples me. It causes me anxiety. My fear and anxiety have now affected my social life. Lord, I am praying for your strength and courage. Your promise is that you are always here with me and I should not fear anything, even if I walk through the shadows of the valley of the dead. Grant me the peace to stop worrying and courageously live the way you want me to live. Amen.
Lord, grant me tenacious winsome courage as I go through this day. When I am tempted to give up, help me to keep going. Grant me a cheerful spirit when things don't go my way. And give me courage to do whatever needs to be done. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Dear God, give me courage,
for perhaps I lack it more than anything else.
I need courage before men against their threats
and against their seductions.
I need courage to bear unkindness,
mockery, contradiction.
I need courage to fight against the devil,
against terrors and troubles, temptations,
attractions, darkness and false lights,
against tears, depression, and above all fear.
I need Your help, dear God.
Strengthen me with Your love and Your grace.
Console me with Your blessed Presence
and grant me the courage to persevere
until I am with You forever in heaven.
Heavenly Father, I love You and thank You for all that You have done for me. Thank You for dying for me and taking the punishment that I deserve. Father God, please help me, for when I am on my own I want to tell the whole world about You, but when I am in company with other people, I just freeze up and get so tongue-tied and am so lost for words.
I feel I am letting You down by not saying anything about You, and remaining silent, when I should be lifting up the Lord Jesus and telling everyone I meet, the message of salvation by grace through faith.
Give me courage I pray, to open my mouth and speak the truth to whomsoever I may come into contact. Release my tongue and allow me to speak forth what is in my heart, to your praise and glory. Lord, I know that without You I can do nothing, but I also believe that I can do all things through Christ Who gives me the strength and courage.
So use my life I pray, and give me the courage to be a good and faithful witness to Jesus, in word and in deed, to His praise and glory. In Jesus' name,

I come boldly, Father, because I have been given access to You through the blood of Jesus. I come with courage because I have been given all the promises of a gracious God.
Amen.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
O Lord, open my eyes that I may see the needs of others
Open my ears that I may hear their cries;
Open my heart so that they need not be without succor;
Let me not be afraid to defend the weak because of the anger of the strong,
Nor afraid to defend the poor because of the anger of the rich.
Show me where love and hope and faith are needed,
And use me to bring them to those places.
And so open my eyes and my ears
That I may this coming day be able to do some work of peace for thee.
