Prayer For Confusion

Lord, please help my partner and I to bear the Fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Let us be transformed by these qualities.

God, please give us the strength to make these qualities permanent habits. Let them be on our minds at all times, influencing all that we do and bringing healing to our relationship.

Lord, I realize that I must take ownership of my life and make changes necessary for a good relationship to happen. Please help me to change in the ways in which I must, and, just as importantly, to not change in the ways that I shouldn't.

I love you, God. Amen.

God, I pray that you help me learn from my difficulties. My relationship struggled, and now my partner and I are doing better, but please help us both to remember how we came back to happiness. Let us not forget our struggles, even as we move past them, lest we repeat them in the future.

I ask, also, that you help us to form wisdom from what we've learned, and that we can use that wisdom to make our relationship with one another better than ever before. Please make something beautiful out of our previous suffering.

Amen.

Oh gracious Lord,

My mind is pulling me in numerous directions, and I'm growing weary of the mixed messages around me. I feel stuck, Lord, and I need your help.

Father, remind me of the truth that you are not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). I thank you that you already know everything that I need (Matthew 6:32). Thank you that I can confidently approach your throne of grace in my time of need (Hebrews 4:16), and that you can quiet me by your love (Zephaniah 3:17).

Jesus, thank you that you are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). As you desired not your own will but the Father's will (Matthew 26:39; Mark 14:36; Luke 22:42), so let me echo your prayer in my state of confusion. May I remember your words: I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world (John 16:33). What a soothing word to my soul! Because of your victory over death and the world, I too can claim victory over this season of confusion.

Oh Spirit of truth, guide me and declare to me the things that are to come (John 16:13). And for the sake of your name, lead me and guide me (Psalm 31:3). Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me (Psalm 119:133).

I desire to trust you with all my heart, and I don't want to lean on my own understanding; make my paths straight, Lord (Proverbs 3:5-6). Give me understanding that I may live (Psalm 119:144). I want the wisdom that comes from heaven: a pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, merciful, good, impartial and sincere wisdom (James 3:17). Thank you for generously giving wisdom when we approach and ask you (James 1:5). Thank you for being an almighty, good, sufficient Lord; I release all my burdens at your feet.

In Christ's mighty name I ask these things. Amen.

Almighty God, We bless you for our lives,
we give you praise for your abundant mercy and grace
we receive. We thank you for your faithfulness even
though we are not that faithful to you.
Lord Jesus, we ask you to give us all around
peace in our mind, body, soul and spirit.
We want you to heal and remove everything that is
causing stress, grief, and sorrow in our lives.

Please guide our path through life and make our
enemies be at peace with us. Let your peace reign in our family,
at our place of work, businesses and everything we lay our hands on.

Let your angels of peace go ahead of us when we go out
and stay by our side when we return. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Dear Lord:
You said in your Word: I am the way, the truth, and the life: [John 14:6]

You are the Way, the right Way, the true Way to life, the abundant life, the happy life, the fulfilled life. Lord, I need you to end this confusion in my life. When I go left, I keep thinking I should have gone right; and when I go right, I keep thinking I should have gone left. And when I'm at a crossroads and need to make a decision, I can't make a decision because a whirlwind of different ideas are swirling around in my mind.

Help me, Lord, end this confusion in my life.

The Word of God says that God is not the author of confusion, but of peace [1Corinthians14.33].

So confusion is not from God. Peace is from God.

And the Word of God says that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ Col. 2:3. So send forth wisdom to me, and confusion shall cease.

Dear Lord Jesus, I submit my life to you, this day, so your love, and peace and wisdom and truth and guidance can enter into my life.

I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

Father God, Your children are being deluged with many false teachers, damaging doctrines and deceitful tactics and the enemy prowls around like a ravenous wolf seeking to scatter the flock and shipwreck many of Your servants, and Lord, the church is being flooded with dangerous books and destructive media that is causing such confusion, and many are falling into the traps that the enemy is setting.

Look down in pity on all Your people, and guide them into the way of truth. Provide spiritual stability we pray, in the lives of those that have little or no sound doctrinal teaching. Raise up we pray, good men and ministries that are seeking to lift up the name of the Lord Jesus and teach the whole counsel of God.

Lord, it was the apostle Paul that warned us of the ravenous wolves that would scatter the flock, but You are mighty to save and we pray that You will continue to build Your Church and bring many to spiritual maturity, to the glory of Your name,

Amen.

Dear Lord, I desire to be clear-minded in a time when deceit and deception floods into our minds from so many quarters, and so I pray that I would learn to take every though captive, so that I may not be tossed about by the many winds of doctrines that can cause such confusion in our minds, and distort the truth of Your Word.

Father, I do not want to be swept into the world's way of thinking, and pray that You would give me increasing and ongoing clarity of thought in my home, my work and in the general activities of life as well as my special times of devotion, payer and fellowship meetings with other believers.

Open the eyes of my understanding I pray, and give me real wisdom. Help me not to fall into a spiritual slumber but rather to remain alert and watchful, knowing that the days are evil. Thank You, Lord, that I am Your blood-bought child and that nothing can separate me from Your love. Give me the grace I pray, to stand fast until the day of Christ Jesus, in Whose name I pray,

Amen.

Father,

I thank You that through Jesus You have made a way for me to be free from confusion and to learn to live as Your child. Because of the price You paid for me and the promises you have made in Your Word, I speak these declarations in faith. I believe that Your Word is at work in me as I agree with You now.

I believe and declare that Your Word is true for me personally: that I can access all the wisdom I need to live a successful life. I am not plagued with uncertainty, doubt, ignorance or bewilderment.

I believe and declare that I am not alone; I don't have to sit around scratching my head in perplexity! I have a Father who has all the wisdom I need to make sense of difficult and trying circumstances. All I need do is come into His presence and ask Him for wisdom, and I will receive it! Wisdom is mine in every dilemma, every mess, every tangle, every befuddlement. With God's help I will untangle every uncertainty with His understanding.

I believe and declare that I will no longer find fault in myself or believe that God finds fault in me for not knowing everything I need to know on my own. My dependency on Him is not a weakness, but a strength. I will celebrate my need for partnership with the Almighty God who is full of wisdom for my every need.

I believe and declare that I am not lacking in any spiritual gift. I am not missing anything I need to navigate my life and my challenges. I have God, and He is ultimately all I need to lead my life successfully.

I believe and declare that I have the mind of Christ a wise mind, a stable mind, a quick mind, an effective mind, a healthy mind, a strong mind, and an understanding mind!

I believe and declare that my life is marked by order and peace because God, my God, rules and reigns in my life.

I believe and declare that I have the Holy Spirit at work within me to lead me into all truth in every circumstance.

I believe and declare that I have an understanding heart to do my responsibilities well and to discern right from wrong.

I believe and declare that I do not trust in my own perspective and understanding, but that I lean on and trust in God's perspective and understanding in all things.

I believe and declare that I will not be tormented and ruled by confusion any longer, for I have been set free from bondage through the love of my Father God, the redeeming power of Jesus Christ, and the constant presence of the Holy Spirit in my life. I am a child of God! I have all the rights and privileges of a child of God namely, I have wisdom, understanding, clarity, and Truth.

In Jesus' Name
Amen
