Prayer For Church Choir
Dear Lord:
Please watch over each member of our choir and help us to never forget that you are the center of our lives.
With the many temptations at our disposal, it is so easy to stray off center.
Teach us that, although unity of soul and voice is the essence of excellence we should strive for, we must be
tolerant when choral mistakes are made.
In the same light, fill our hears with love, so that, when we are sometimes placed in upsetting situations, we
can remain reasonably sweet, knowing that sourness can be one of the works of the devil.
Let us be reverently mindful that You are the object of our worship; therefore, guide us through the beauty of
Your liturgical works and make us ever-aware of Your holy presence.
Above all, enlighten us to understand the depth of Your love for us, and to understand and feel the meaning of
what we are singing, so that we may truly glorify Your name and lovingly sing Your praises.
Finally, let us be worthy to be Your emissaries - to reach out and touch the hearts of Your people and be a
witness of Your greater glory.
We ask all this in Your precious name. Amen
Holy, Holy, Holy are You Lord, the whole earth is full of Your glory! How great is the Lord that made His awesomeness and beauty manifest in Creation. I pray that this choir ministry overflows with Your glory; Father I pray that no matter what we face, we wholeheartedly lift up Your Name. I declare that when people hear us sing, I pray that they will hear Your glory, I pray that they hear Your greatness, in Jesus Name, we pray, Amen.
Holy God, let the field exult and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy! Lord, even creation utters Your glory and beauty. I pray that like the plants naturally and organically worships You, let worship naturally ooze out of this choir ministry. Let our voices echo Your matchless Name so that hearts can be touched and lives can be filled. I pray that we do not take our opportunity to worship for granted, let the worship in this ministry be true, Amen.
Dear Lord, let us consult You first before we make any decisions in this choir ministry, just like Your people turned to You before appointing their singers in Your Word. Those who sang and praised You in holy attire were sent first before the army declaring Give thanks to the Lord, for His loving kindness is everlasting. I pray that when we minister we will understand that we are battling not against flesh and blood but against higher things. This is the prayer of our heart, Amen.
Faithful Savior, glory to You in the highest and peace to those with whom You are well pleased here on earth. I pray that You remain well pleased with this choir ministry as we strive to lift You up. King of Glory I pray for a refreshed anointing on this ministry, I pray that our love for You is the driving force of all that we do. I rebuke ulterior motives in Jesus' Name and declare that this choir ministry remains fixated on magnifying Your Name, Amen.
Heavenly Father, the voice of any angels gather round Your throne in awe of Your greatness. They gather along with the living creatures and the elders in their thousands, yet a thousand tongues is not enough to give You the praise You deserve. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain! Lord, I pray that this will be an example to my choir ministry, let Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Lord, I pray that we surrender to You in this ministry, Amen.
Oh Lord, in the Old Testament, the chief of Levites was appointed to lead and give instruction of the singing because he was skillful. In the same respect, let individuals be appointed into this choir that most importantly have a heart that desires more of You, as well as great skill. I pray that we pursue high quality sounding worship and never lose sight of You Yahweh. Let those who are appointed understand their responsibility within this region, Amen.
Righteous Father, I thank You for this divine choir ministry and pray that You will rest Your hand upon it. Your Word says that at Your right-hand are pleasures forevermore, so Lord we pray that Your right-hand covers this ministry. I pray that when we lift our voices to You, we experience pleasures that benefit the soul. May disheartened hearts be encouraged, may anger be forgotten in the melodies of worship, and in Your presence let there be fullness of joy, Amen.
