Prayer For Calmness And Peace
If anyone speaks ill of you, praise them always.
If anyone injures you, serve them nicely.
If anyone persecutes you, help them in all possible ways.
You will attain immense strength.
You will control anger and pride.
You will enjoy peace, poise and serenity.
You will become divine.
Dear God I ask for peace of mind. I pray that I am calm, collected and tranquil at all times today. I rest and relax in your presence. I let go of all anxious thoughts. I stop rushing and start praying. I let go and I let God.
In Jesus Christ's name, Amen.
Fortify me with the grace of Your Holy Spirit and give Your peace to my soul that I may be free from all needless anxiety, solicitude and worry. Help me to desire always that which is pleasing and acceptable to You so that Your will may be my will.
Lord, sometimes I forget that following you means trusting you to guide me safely to shore. The disciples in Luke 8:22-25 got in the boat because they trusted you and knew your heart for them. They didn't expect danger and I didn't either when I set out on this journey. I'm taken by surprise when a storm blows through the very path you've directed me to take. Somehow, I've lulled myself into thinking that if you've directed it then my way will be storm-free.
I realize that's not the case, so I appeal to you to calm my storm the way you did for the disciples. Lord, speak to the wind and waves and say, Peace. I fear I won't make it through to the other side if you don't intervene. Speak peace and let there be calm. Grow my faith as I trust in you. Amen.
Lord, how I long to break free from negative thinking and embrace peace and joy and optimism. I invite You to begin transforming my thought patterns and help me recognize, reject and replace thoughts that are not pleasing to You.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
God, teach us what it means to have faith in silence. When we face trials that are beyond our understanding, help us to find peace. Help me be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. You set all things in accordance to your time. Remind us to wait patiently, and find peace in your plan.
Loving God, please grant me peace of mind and calm my troubled heart. ... Give me the strength and clarity of mind to find my purpose and walk the path you've laid out for me. I trust your Love God, and know that you will heal this stress. Just as the sun rises each day against the dark of night.
May today there be peace within.
May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance.
It is there for each and every one of you.
