Prayer For Anger Management

Almighty and All-Powerful Father, help me feel calm when I become angry. When pressure and conflict make me feel surrounded, remind me that I am surrounded by your presence. When you are with me I have no need to lash out in anger. Please remove my anger towards other people and replace it with trust in your provision and care. May confidence in your love replace any anger about my circumstances. When I feel angry due to unmet expectations, remind me that satisfaction can be found only in you. May the love of the Father, the grace of the Son and the power of the Holy Spirit be with me today. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Everlasting God, your peace surpasses all my understanding. When anger rises within me, please calm my mind and soothe my heart with your gentle words. Fill my whole life with your perfect peace. May my personality be shaped by your peace rather than my frustration. With your Holy Spirit in my life, I can overcome anger. May I reflect your character, being slow to anger and rich in steadfast love. Look upon me and cause your face to shine upon me. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Faithful God, you made me and you love me. You said that I should not let the sun go down on my anger. As I reach the end of this day, I ask you to replace my anger with a calm mind. Remove my frustration and fill me with faith in you. Help me to bring everything in my life before you. When I am uncertain, help me look to you. Instruct me and teach me, Lord, in the way that I should go and the paths that I should take. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Sovereign Lord, bring peace to my mind and my heart as I feel angry at the situation I am in. May I take hold of your promise that you will never leave me nor forsake me. In whatever circumstances I face that produce anger in my heart, remind me that you have not left my side and you never will. When you are with me I can trust you to fight my battles, I do not need to allow anger to take control. Give me your peace Father, may it rule over my life. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Father,

Without your help I will never win this battle with rage. But your Word says that, I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. I am counting on your strength to help me ward off anger. I renounce it in Jesus' Name. I repent of holding on to anger and giving the devil a foothold in my life and relationships. I am determined to follow your Word, to study it, memorize it, meditate on it, and declare it until you have renewed my mind, giving me the mind of Christ a mind at peace with God, at peace with myself, and at peace with others. This is possible only through the shedding of your blood, the atoning of my sin on the Cross, for which I am eternally grateful. I submit myself wholeheartedly to your grace and forgiveness. Teach me to be your disciple. Give me godly leaders to follow and a Church Body to walk alongside. I receive from you the ability to put away anger!

In Jesus' Name, Amen!

Almighty and eternal God, so draw our hearts to thee, so guide our minds, so fill our imaginations, so control our wills, that we may be wholly thine, utterly dedicated unto thee; and then use us, we pray thee, as thou wilt, and always to thy glory and the welfare of thy people; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

O Lord, I'm sorry that anger rises so often in my heart. I feel such pressure at work and home. Sometimes I can feel as though I'm balancing on a knife's edge, I'm about to fall. Sometimes I don't have the resources to meet each demand. Sometimes I resent colleagues, family and friends My temper cracks and I fall into wrath. Sometimes I feel disappointed in myself, I feel so cross when I get things wrong or fail. I know you understand. You see all I am, the good and the bad. Your love can flood these angry moments. Help me to pray, to look to you, To take a step back and calm down. Help me to breathe out, to re-fuel, And to rest. Often a gentle hug, a kind word, or even a drink or snack is all I need to reset. Please step in when I feel anger surging again, And remind me of these things. I trust in you. Amen.
