Prayer For An Engaged Couple
Loving Heavenly Father, we come to You together on this special occasion of our engagement, giving You our grateful thanks that You brought us together, in love. Keep us united in love to each other and to You, and help us to keep You in the rightful place in our hearts and in our lives.
You are the God of love and we thank You Lord, that You have caused such a deep love for each other to develop between us. We want to dedicate our future together to You, Lord. Be with us Lord, as we grow closer together, and as we make our plans for the future, we ask that You would guide us and direct us in all our decisions. Lord, we desire to be pure in Your sight and chaste in each others company, and pray that you would keep us from temptation.
Unite us in love and peace and teach us Your ways as You guard us and guide us. And just as You poured out a special blessing on the young couple in Cana of Galilee, we pray that You would bless our union, bless our engagement. Bless us Lord, from this day forward and for evermore. In Jesus' name we pray,

Heavenly Father, fill our relationship with your glory. May we live according to the gospel and progress in spiritual maturity in this season of engagement and our marriage. Grant us all things that pertain to life and godliness. May we be fully pleasing to you, bearing fruit in every work that you have given us. Saturate our hearts with love that we may love you, others, and ourselves more. Help us to reflect your grace, love, and peace in everything that we do. May we devote our time to know your perfect will in our lives as a couple. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Lord, we know that without the right counsel, our marriage will fail. Help us to turn to the counsel of the Holy Spirit before we run to anyone for advice. But we know that you also speak through people. Put the right people in our path. Give them wisdom that they may give us advice that comes directly from you. If there is anyone in our lives that is giving us the wrong advice Father, remove them. Lord, bless our marriage and draw us close to you in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Gracious Father, we come before you today to thank you for the great things you're doing in our lives. Thank you for helping us to find intimacy and contentment in you as a couple. Your word says that unless you build a home the builders build it in vain, Father God, we ask you to build our marriage and home. Be the foundation of everything that we do and help us to walk in your ways alone. Let the wedding we are planning be built on Jesus the true foundation. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Father, I am so grateful for this far you have brought my fiance and me. Thank you for seeing it fit for us to be together. Lord, many are our plans, but it is you who determines our steps. Establish our plans, Lord. Let every step we take now, and when we are married, be in line with your will. If we are doing or planning to do anything that contradicts your will, Lord, show us and help us to rectify our mistakes. Weigh the motives of our hearts and remove anything in us that does not please you. Through Jesus' name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Lord, we know that you have a purpose for us as a couple. Father God, give us the vision of our joint ministry that we may be able to work together and bring glory to your holy name. Lord, help us to see ourselves as partners and not competitors. Destroy any plans of the enemy that will cause us to drift away from the vision that you have for us. May everything we do during this engagement period and in our marriage bring glory to your name. In Jesus' name, we believe and pray, Amen.
Dear Lord, we are so happy to be engaged. Thank you for leading us to each other. Lord, as we draw near to our wedding, help us to be firm in one spirit. Holy Spirit, be our guide and counselor. Help us to walk according to the word and to remain united. Root out bad attitudes and thoughts that may hinder us from being one in the spirit in marriage. May we glorify you, Lord Jesus, with one voice. In Jesus' name, we believe and pray, Amen.
King of Glory, thank you for enabling us to reach this stage of our relationship. We would not have done it without you, but because of your grace, we are engaged. Thank you for adopting us into your family and for the hope that you have set in us. Lord, there are a lot of things we have to do during this engagement period, and we pray for endurance.
