Prayer For A Dying Dog
Dear Lord, as I grieve the loss of my pet
My constant companion, my wonderful friend
Give me sweet glimpses of heavenly grace
Of life in renewal and the wonder you've made.
Comfort my heart with deep memories
Of intimate bonds of dwelling with them.
Calm all my thoughts, they are safe in your arms,
Eternity has room for their precious hearts.
Help me to give thanks for the joy that they've been
Soften my sadness, come stay close to me.
Amen.
Jesus, it seems this is the time for (pet's name) to leave this world and to enter Your heavenly garden. Mercifully remove all suffering. Make the transition to death swift and full of Your peace. Usher her into Your heavenly kingdom gently and graciously. We thank You for giving her to us to share our pilgrimage here, and we look forward to being reunited with her there. (pet's name), we love you, and we release you into your Creator's eternal hand. Go in peace.

If this is the time for (pet's name) life to end here on earth, we pray You grant us the wisdom to recognize it and the grace to accept it. We place her life into Your hands, trusting in Your eternal mercy to grant her a peaceful end here and a gracious entrance into Your heavenly garden. In Jesus' name.

Thank you for the blessing of (pet name). May he go peacefully into heaven and await my eventual arrival. Please let me see (pet name) again someday at the Rainbow Bridge.
Lord, thank you for the blessings of companionship you allowed (dog name) to provide. His attentive demeanor and patience with me daily reminded me of the care you put into providing your people with friendship from four-legged friends. Please allow his transition into the afterlife to be smooth and painless and allow him to gain the understanding that he meant a great deal to me and was very loved.

Thank you for giving me this wonderful dog. They are a faithful friend who has brought such companionship, joy and contentment into my life. I ask that you would be beside him/her. Please bring your touch of restoration and healing. Take away any pain and come whisper your love to him/her.
Be with us Lord. I love him/her so much and give all my fears and anxieties to you now.
