Prayer For A Deceased Veteran
Dear Lord, Today we honor our veterans, worthy men and women who gave their best when they were called upon to serve and protect their country. We pray that you will bless them, Lord, for their unselfish service; bless them abundantly for the hardships they faced, for the sacrifices they made.
We respect them, we thank them, we honor them, we are proud of them, and we pray that you will watch over these special people and bless them with peace and happiness. In Jesus' name we pray for Peace in this beautiful world. Amen.
O Allah, forgive [name of the person] and elevate his station among those who are guided. Send him along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds. Enlarge for him his grave and shed light upon him in it.
Fill the Heart with the oil of love.
Place in it the wick of single-pointed mind.
Light it with the Knowledge of Truth and remove
the darkness of ignorance around you.
Just as one lamp can light many lamps; let each
youth kindle this Light in many hearts.
.Eternal Father, Lord of Hosts Watch o'er the ones who guard our coasts. Protect them from the raging seas and give them light and life and peace. Grant them from thy great throne above the shield and shelter of thy love. Lord, guard and guide the ones who fly through the great spaces in the sky be with them always in the air, in darken storms or sunlight fair. Oh, hear us when we lift our prayer, for those in peril in the air! Grant to them Your eternal peace, Oh Lord, for they have followed your commandment, That No Greater Love has he, who would give up his life for another. Amen
God of our fathers, whose almighty hand leads forth in beauty all the starry
band of shining worlds in splendor through the skies our grateful songs before
Thy throne arise. Thy love divine hath led us in the past, in this free land by Thee
our lot is cast, Be Thou our Ruler, Guardian, Guide and Stay, Thy Word our law,
Thy paths our chosen way. From war's alarms, from deadly pestilence. Be Thy
strong arm our ever sure defense; Thy true religion in our hearts increase, Thy
bounteous goodness nourish us in peace. Refresh Thy people on their toilsome
way, Lead us from night to never ending day; Fill all our lives with love and grace divine, And glory, laud, and praise be ever Thine.

Bless them abundantly for the hardships they faced, for the sacrifices they made for their many different contributions to America's victories over tyranny and oppression. In Jesus' name we pray. Lord, We lift up prayer for those who lead and direct our soldiers. May their daily decisions bring powerful protection and abundant provision to our men and women in uniform. Amen.
O God,
by whose mercy the faithful departed find rest,
look kindly on your departed veterans who gave their
lives in the service of their country.
Grant that through the passion, death,
and resurrection of your Son
they may share in the joy of your heavenly kingdom
and rejoice in you with your saints forever.
