Scripture Reading
James 5:7-8
Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
Reflection
A farmer cannot hurry a harvest — he can only prepare the soil, plant faithfully, and wait. Patience is not passive; it is active trust that the right conditions are coming. James connects patience with an established heart: one that does not blow with every wind because it is grounded in something bigger than the current season.
Prayer for Today
God of my Rescue, do not ignore my cry for help. Please listen and answer me, for I am overwhelmed by my troubles. My heart pounds in my chest and I can't stop shaking. I know You can turn this hopeless situation around. You deliver me from my troubles
and help me triumph against the most impossible odds. Morning, noon and night I call on You Lord, and I thank You that You hear my voice. Amen.
