Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
Reflection
The psalmist uses the most physical of the senses — taste — to describe knowing God. This is not an intellectual proposition but an experiential invitation. Goodness is not just to be believed in, but encountered. Where have you "tasted" God's goodness recently? Let gratitude for that moment be your prayer today.
Prayer for Today
Merciful Lord, we grieve with communities suffering from disasters and struggling to recover. Speed the restoration of community life so children can feel secure again. Give families strength and perseverance while they rebuild their homes and livelihoods.
