Scripture Reading
Psalm 1:2-3
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
Reflection
The image of a tree planted by water speaks to the importance of where we put our roots. A tree does not produce fruit by striving — it simply draws from the source it is planted beside. When we plant ourselves in God's Word daily, fruit follows naturally, even when the season seems dry.
Prayer for Today
Awesome God, I pray that You will have Your divine way in my child's life. As an adult, there are struggles and difficulties he/she is facing, and will continue to face throughout this life. I pray that in his/her trials, Your grace will be sufficient for him/her, for Your power is made perfect in his/her weakness. I praise You all the more gladly because of his/her weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon him/her. I know that You hear the cries of You people, and that You will do good in Your own way, and on Your own time. Amen.
Amen.
