As a Father Has Compassion

Scripture Reading

Psalm 103:13-14

As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.
Reflection
God knows what you are made of — he remembers you are dust. This is not a dismissal but a tender acknowledgment: he doesn't expect you to be indestructible. The Father who made you knows your limitations, your frailty, your capacity for only so much. His compassion flows from this knowing. When you feel like you have failed because you are human, remember: God already knew you were human, and loved you anyway.
Prayer for Today
Holy Lord, to you I come with all my needs and troubles and you provide for me. You are an unconditional God and I will not be ashamed to say what you have done for me. Lord, forgive me my trespasses and teach me to forgive those who trespass against
me so you may not be ashamed of me as your child. May your spirit of love, power, and oneness fill me and overflow. Amen.

Amen.
