Prayer For Youth And Children

Loving Father, you look with compassion on all your children, especially those who are vulnerable. May we work to create a world in which every child has access to food, clean water, shelter, education, health care, and all other basic rights. May we teach youth about their role in working for peace, justice and the common good. May we act together to ensure that the lives and dignity of children everywhere can be respected. Amen.

Father God in the Name of Jesus, Thank You Lord that our children are a heritage from
you; the fruit of the womb and our reward. As little children were brought to Jesus so he
could touch them in Luke 18:15-17; we lift our children and youth up to you and place
them into Your arms and in Your care.
Lord Jesus you told Your disciples not to forbid the little children to come to You
because of such is the Kingdom of God. As we lift our children and youth; our posterity
and future up to you, we ask first of all for their salvation for those who are unsaved.
We wait for your salvation Lord, because we know that it is your will that each of them
truly becomes a child of yours, the Most High God. The next generation, the ones that
are called the Millennials need you Father. They need to learn to truly seek your face
and develop an intimate relationship with you before they learn to seek your hand.
The Children of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and the Body of Christ are a
chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, your own special people, that they
may proclaim your praises who called them out of darkness into Your marvelous light.
Thank You Father God in the Name of Jesus You anoint them as you anointed their
fathers, that they may minister to You as priests; for their anointing will be an everlasting
priesthood throughout their generations. Father we place our children under the
shadow of Your wings and we trust you to care for them, protect them and keep them
from all hurt, harm or danger each and every day of their lives. Lord God we are
eternally grateful that you are our children's strength, their song, their salvation, their
habitation, their shield, their high tower, their refuge and their savior. You save them
from all kinds of violence in thought, word and deed.
Thank you Lord as they learn to exalt you in spirit and in truth. Father give them your
wisdom which begins with a holy life and reflects their getting along well with others.
Your wisdom is gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and full of blessings. It is steadfast and
helps develop our children into healthy individuals. Help them learn to treat everyone
they come in contact with; with respect, dignity and honor; treating others the way they
wish to be treated. Lord you said in your word:
5
Before you formed our children in the
womb you knew them and you ordained them a prophet to the nations. When they
fearfully say they cannot speak for they are a youth, you emphatically tell they shall go
to everyone you send them to and they shall speak whatever You command them to.
You tell them Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,.
2
Thank you Lord that you will touch and put your words on their mouths and set them
over kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build
and to plant. Father your thoughts toward our children are plans to prosper them and
not to harm them. The thoughts that You think toward them are thoughts of peace and
not of evil, to give them a future and a hope. Thank you Lord that as we continually
pray for our children and cover them with the blood of Jesus, you will protect our
children wherever they go.
Thank you Father God you give our children and youth the power, insight and ability to
get wealth and you have no respecter of persons. Men will bring our children the wealth
of the Gentiles. They are mighty in the earth. Wealth and riches will be in their houses
and your righteousness endures forever in their lives. In Jesus Name, I pray, Amen.

God I thank you for the gift of knowledge! I praise you that you provide us with brains to think and question the world around us. I pray you would help my child learn well and flourish. May they discover their unique talents and giftings. Give them a passion for the world around them. Amen

Heavenly Father, I thank you that all good gifts come from you. I thank you that I can trust you for the future of my family. Please guide my child in every step they take. I pray they would know your provision and protection. Make steady their steps I pray. Amen

Lord God, we praise you that you are fully in control of all things. I pray you would protect my child. Keep them healthy and help them to thrive. I thank you that you know every hair on their head. You know exactly when they rise and when they fall. Watch over my child in every area of their life and keep them safe I pray, Amen

Father God, we ask for your blessing today as we pray these prayers over our children. We praise you that every day we can trust in your goodness. Amen

Loving God,
we pray for children and young people growing up in troubled homes;
those who are afraid that they may say the wrong thing';
those who dread harsh words being spoken to them.
We pray for their release from fear and darkness
into the light of your love.
Come, Father in heaven;
may your will be done.
Loving God,
we pray for children and young people who are ridiculed and bullied;
those afraid of going to school; those who cannot voice their unhappiness.
We pray for their burden to be lifted,
and the light of your kingdom to come.
Come, Father in heaven;
may your will be done.
Loving God,
we pray for children and young people exploited and abused by others;
those unaware of danger; those unsure who to trust.
We pray for their rescue from the darkness of deception
into the haven of safe, supportive relationships.
Come, Father in heaven;
may your will be done.
Loving God,
we pray for ourselves, as Church;
that we may fulfil our calling to protect the weak and be watchful for those who suffer.
Help us to build communities of faith and joy
where all are welcomed into the hope of your healing love.
Come, Father in heaven;
may your will be done.
Amen.

Loving Lord, I thank You for all those children and young people who have trusted the Lord Jesus as their Saviour. Father, I know that there is a vital need for them to grow in the faith and to become established in the truth of the gospel of grace, to be discipled and taught and trained in the things of God.

I pray for all young Christian men and women, that they may develop a spirit of reverence and humility towards You and a desire to walk in spirit and truth as they submit to the Holy Spirit, knowing that the fear of God and reverence towards the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Keep those Young people who are Your children pure in heart and spirit, and develop in them a desire to be clean before You and learn of You so that they too may grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

May they grow in grace and be used by You to witness of the truth of Your Word to others. Guard them from all that would cause them to stumble and guide them into all truth. In Jesus' name I pray,

Amen.
