Prayer For Worship Leaders
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You that I have a chance today to bring praise to Your name. Help the praise of Your name to always be on my lips. I want to lead our church in worship today with gladness of heart and joy. Lord, bless the words we sing, and our sacrifice of praise today. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Dear Lord, I pray that You would bring into Your house men and women from all walks of life to worship You today. I pray that the poor, the rich, the downcast, the refugee, the single mother, the business owner, the sinners, and the saints, would all gather today to sing the praises of Your matchless name. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Dear Lord, I thank You that this fellowship has a place to gather for worship. I praise You that we have a sound system that works and microphones and speakers that can raise our volume to match the intensity of the way we feel in our hearts about You. Thank You for this stage and all the technology that allows me to lead our church in worship. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father, I marvel at Your awesome wisdom for how You have ordained worship. I marvel that You no longer desire sacrifice, but mercy. I marvel that You desire people to worship You in Your Spirit and in Your truth. I pray, Heavenly Father, that our worship today would be an acceptable offering to You. Lift our voices up into the heavens and to Your throne of grace. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You would bless the worship team today as they seek to lead our church in worship of Your mighty and holy name. If they are struggling with secret sin, or heavy grief, please bring it to light, Lord, and help them to overcome by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Comfort the hurting. Keep them from discouragement. I pray that our worship would not be hindered in any way by anyone on the worship team, or by myself, or by the congregation. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You would guide me and give me wisdom as I seek which songs to sing in worship of Your name this week. Lord, I pray that each song would speak in powerful ways to the people who praise You. But more than that, Lord, I pray that each song would lift up Your name and bring the glory to Your name that You deserve. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that our worship would be marked by a glorious and holy intensity. Use our worship to tear down the walls of Jericho in the lives of the people in this congregation. Keep our worship fast-paced, upbeat, and most importantly, pleasing in Your sight. Lord, may the intensity of our worship lead to the praise of Your matchless name. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You would lead me and guide me in my position as the worship leader at this church. Help me to know how long I should continue to stay and minister in this place. If it is time for me to move on to a new church, make that clear to me, Lord. If it is time for me to make other changes, please direct me, Lord. Help me to know Your will for my time in this place. I want to honor You above all else. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
