Prayer For Wedding Meal
Ground and source of all life, we stop and recall with gratitude the gift of life. We are grateful for the love of [Jane's] and [John's] parents, who raised them from childhood with care and concern, bringing them to this day. We are grateful for the example of [Jane] and [John's] love in their new commitment to one another. We express our gratitude to those who grew and harvested the food we will share today, those who prepared it and those who will serve it. We are grateful also to the wind and the rain, the sun and the earth, who provide not only this meal but all of our life on this planet. Let us take a moment of silence now in gratitude for life. [10 second pause] Amen.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your love, which we have seen today reflected in [Jane] and [John]'s eyes. We have come from many places, many backgrounds, many beliefs, but [Jane] and [John] have drawn us together to share this meal together, their first meal as a married couple. We are grateful for love which seeks us and finds us. We are grateful for this meal. We pray your blessing upon those who prepared it and those who will serve it. We ask that you bless Jane and John and us as we celebrate tonight. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lord, behold our family here assembled. We thank you for this place in which we dwell, for the love that unites us, for the peace accorded us this day, for the hope with which we expect the morrow, for the health, the work, the food, and the bright skies that make our lives delightful; for our friends in all parts of the earth. We pray your blessings on the food that you have provided for us and thank you for all who have prepared it for our nourishment. Thank you in Jesus' name, Amen.
Heavenly Father,
We thank you for gathering us today to celebrate the union of _______________________ and __________________________ in holy matrimony. We are all truly blessed to have witnessed the binding of their love under your great name. We ask you dear Lord to bless the newlyweds with excellent health, beautiful and healthy children, prosperity and blissful happiness all the days of their lives. And we also ask you dear God to bless the food we are about to partake, bless those who prepared it and those whom we are sharing it with.
This we ask in the mighty name of your son Jesus, Amen.
Heavenly Father, the love between man and woman which matures into marriage is one of your most beautiful kind of love that exists. And now we are celebrating that love with _____________________ and _________________________.
Give them wisdom and devotion in the ordering of their common life, that they may be to each other a strength in need, a councillor in perplexity, a comfort in sorrow, and a companion in joy.
Grant that their will may be so knit together in Your will and their spirits in your Spirit, that they may grow in love and peace with you and one another all the days of their lives.
Give them grace, when they hurt each other, to recognize and acknowledge their fault, and to seek each other's forgiveness and yours.
Make their life together a sign of Christ's love to this sinful and broken world, that unity may overcome estrangement, forgiveness to heal guilt, and joy to conquer despair.
Bestow on them the gift and heritage of children, and the grace to bring them up to know you, to love you, and to serve you.
Give them such fulfilment in their affection for each other that they may reach out in love and concern for others.
And Father we thank you for the food that we are about to partake. We ask you to take your place in our tables and be our special guest. As this food nourishes our body and mind, let your Spirit feeds our souls.

We gather here now to celebrate the love and commitment of (bride) & (groom), as they share their first meal together as husband and wife.
We thank You for giving Your Holy blessing today upon their marriage, and ask that You continue to bless them with Your love and mercy throughout their lives together.
Let this be the first of many loving meals shared together with their family and friends, and blessed by Your amazing grace.
And with (bride) & (groom), as we are their family, friends, & loved ones gathered here in Your presence,
we ask for Your Holy blessing upon this meal as together we say:

Dear Lord,
We are so excited to see this man and woman united in matrimony. We are so thrilled to be a part of this magnificent day.
Thank you, Lord, for guiding their footsteps toward each other. Thank you for allowing us to be with them as they pledge their love and life to each other.
Lord, we ask you for lots of smiles, lots of laughter, lots of joys, and lots of celebrations. May their life be filled with abundant blessings as they learn to walk together with each other and with you.

Dear Lord,
We lift up a prayer for this beautiful couple that we love.
We have gathered together to celebrate their special day. We have all expressed our desires for their happy future. But Lord, we acknowledge that it is you who hold their future in your hands. We ask that you would bless them, protect them, and fill their lives with your wisdom.
We ask that this would be a marriage made in heaven.
We pray that our bride and groom would continually desire to be a heavenly mate.
Lord, draw their hearts together in love and unity. Teach them how to enjoy working together, playing together, and dreaming together.
May they be determined to make YOU the center of their home.
