Prayer For Unemployment
Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
You wanted all who are weary
To come to You for support.
Lord, I am worn out
By my inability to find work.
Guide my steps to a righteous path;
Give me the patience
To find opportunities with a future.
Calm my worries and fears
As my financial responsibilities mount.
Strengthen my resolve;
Embolden my heart to open doors;
Open my eyes to see life beyond rejections.
Help me believe in me.
Let me realize other ways
To bring about Your kingdom on earth.
Let me grow as a person
That I may be worthy
For Your greater glory.
In the name of the Father.
Amen.
Lord, help us to remember
that work in industry is the principal way in which we provide for our material needs and the needs of others, and helps to maintain our social services and leisure;
that work is for people, not people for work;
that money, machines and materials are things, while workers, suppliers and customers are people;
that in our type of society, those who cannot find work feel their dignity is diminished;
that life is more than work.
So let us pray
for those who seek work but cannot find it;
for those who over-work and neglect others;
for those who should work but avoid it;
for those who do work but resent it;
for those who exploit work and demean it;
for efficient production, honest marketing and responsible use of resources;
for more justice in the sharing of this world's goods in our own community and between nations;
for the unemployed, their families, and other victims of economic forces;
for all Christians at work, that they may look on their employment as ministry, and feel supported in it by
their local church;
for the whole world, as it faces the challenge of change and the impact of new technologies.
Loving Lord, Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path and today we are living in a time that seems be so very dark and difficult for many people. Lord, we are facing a time of economic crises that is affecting multitudes of men and women. So many are out of work with little expectation of a position becoming available in the foreseeable future. We need You Lord to be that Lamp to our feet and that Light to our path.
Lord, I lift up all my brothers and sisters that are facing joblessness and financial hardship as a result of being out of work, and pray that You will hold each one steady in Your arms of love and provide for all their needs. And though the enemy will seek to sift many as wheat, as was the apostle Peter, we pray may Your Word will be the Lamp of hope that illuminates their path and encourages their hearts.
Father, be with each one of Your children today, for our hope is in You alone. Lord, we trust You in all things because You are sovereign and have control of all things. And even though we do not understand all that is happening in this dark and dreary world, we know and trust You, for You alone are worthy of our trust.
Be with each one and rescue us Lord, from all that is coming on the earth, I pray.

Loving Heavenly Father, there are so many of us that are out of work and the prospect of ever getting another job seems to be getting increasingly remote. Be with all of us who are facing a bleak future.
Lord, I pray that You will keep and provide for all of Your children, knowing that You have proved faithful in the past to keep Your people Israel, and we have Your promises of protection and provision in the future, for the whole Church of God.
Lord, for all of us that are without employment, I want to pray like the prophet Habakkuk as he faced a similar time of poverty and devastation along with the people of Israel;
"LORD, I will wait quietly for You to act and though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines and even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren. Even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign LORD is my strength! And He it is that makes me as surefooted as a deer."
Thank You, Lord, for Your promises of deliverance. Keep us all under the shadow of Your wing, and may You encamp around Your hurting people I pray. In Jesus' name,

Heavenly father, We adore and glorify Your name for all the blessings and talents we recieved from you. Because of it, we were able to express our deep devotion to you through our hardwork and diligence. We are very thankful for all the work and opportunities you provided us in the past that allowed us to grow and experience honor and personal fulfillment.
We still thank you Lord for the time that we are unemployed. We know that you use this time to communicate with us, to realize what we need to improve, and to correct us our wrong doings. We know that during this time of no work, you wants us to rest so that when the time comes, we are in perfect condition to excel and hail you once again.
Oh my Lord, as we wait for that right time, may we not exhaust our faith. Please Forgive us Lord for being impatient and lack of trust in you cause by the frustrations of being unfruitful and rejections. May we not feel pressured by our financial obligations for we know you provide your graces abundantly. Teach us to be humble in this time of crisis and patience for the glorious opportunities ahead.
Let us not forget my Lord those people who really in need of the job as soon as possible for other people rely on them such as the sick and those parents raising their children. May they/we find job easily and may we find the job that best matches our qualification, a job that is decent, away from opression.
We will always look ahead on that day of productivity, and fulfillment that in no time, you will provide us opportunity and work that will support our living as you always do to us. In this we claim in the name of Jesus your son, our provider, our saviour
specially at times of needs.

Heavenly Father God above I pray to you in the name of your son Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, please take this burden of worry off my shoulders and allow my employment to go through. Give me the strength to take away all doubt and have comfort in you
my Lord that you will take care of me as you always have. Please my sweet Jesus let my payment process soon so that I can move forward and find work that pleases you and utilizes my talents to better my fellow man. Great
jobs are hard to find right now and I need the extra help.

Dear God,
You know my needs. You know my desire for a job, for work I enjoy doing, for the next step in my career to present itself. I pray that you would guide me as I continue on this job hunting journey. May I focus first
on your will for my life, putting your desires and your plan above my own wishes and wants. Open doors to new opportunities that you desire for me, and equip me with the skills, knowledge, and wisdom I need to take steps
forward in this process. As I craft my resume, write cover letters, submit my applications, connect with new companies and potential employers, and go on interviews, give me the words to speak and the courage to share who
I am and what I can do. Give me confidence that can only come from you, and give me humility too. I trust you, Lord-- my life is in your hands. Your will be done. Thank you for being near to me every step of the way and
thank you for always providing for my every need. May this all be for your glory.

Lord, today we commend to You all those who are currently unemployed and searching for jobs. We ask You to bless their efforts so that they may provide for themselves and for their families. We know, Lord, that You ask us to put the Kingdom of Heaven first and that all things will be given to us according to our need.
We ask therefore, that all the currently unemployed people receive the graces they need in order to put worshipping You and following Your will for their lives first- ahead of a good job, ahead of enough money, ahead of fears and anxieties for the future. We pray that they will gain a radical confidence in both Your ability and Your will to supply them with all they need. Once they seek You above all else, You will see to their material wants.
This complete trust in Your providence is frightening for many people, so we pray to You on their behalf that they ask for and receive this trust, starting with their need for employment. We pray that they will safely leave this matter in Your hands while patiently listening for the whispers of the Holy Spirit, who will guide them in their next steps. May they surrender all doubts, worries, and the illusion of control to You. We thank You for Your tender and watchful care of us. Amen.
