Prayer For The New Evangelization
Lord God, we ask you to pour out your blessings on your Church as we answer your call to the New Evangelization. Grant us the grace to proclaim the Gospel to those who have not yet heard it and to those who have strayed from you, especially through the use of television in CatholicTV's mission. Help us to see new ways to use the tools of our time to spread your Word to all people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Father in heaven and Lord of all,
establish your sovereignty
on the university campuses
of the world.
Draw young men and women into
a relationship with your Son, Jesus,
and direct their ways by the power
of your Holy Spirit.
Call them to a deeper service and love
of your holy Catholic Church.
Guide and protect the ways
of your labourers in the harvest
on all campuses.
May these witnesses continue
to reach out and transform
by your power
the lives of students on campus.
We ask this in your holy Name.
Amen.
Lord, when you called Abraham, he responded, Ready
When you called Isaiah, he answered, Here I am Lord.
When the angel Gabriel called out to Mary, she responded,
I am the handmaid of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to your word.
Lord, I hear you calling my name.
I hear you entrusting me with the task of building your kingdom.
Like those holy men and women who have gone before me, I give you my yes'!
I will go anywhere you want me to go.
I will do anything you want me to do.
I will say anything you want me to say.
Holy Spirit I welcome you and ask you to guide me.
Form in me an apostle's heart filled with love for Christ and zeal for souls.
I will commit myself with courage and generosity to the New Evangelization.
I will build brick-by-brick, the city of God inside the city of man.

Holy Mary, star of the new evangelization,
make us the light of the world.
We receive Christ in the Eucharist;
help us build the Kingdom in the world.
Teach us to do whatever He tells us.
May our study of His life lead us to love Him,
and our love for Him lead us to imitate Him.
If we are what we should be,
we will set the world ablaze and affect the culture.
We ask your intercession to make this so,
through Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
O Holy Spirit, our Advocate and guide,
help us open doors to Christ's saving power,
which alone is the source of hope for humanity
and the renewal of society.
Fill us with courage to respond boldly
to the call of St. John Paul II to evangelize the culture.
Enable us by Your grace to live our faith in the public square,
so that we may promote a civilization of love and a culture of life, and
may secure justice for every human person at every stage and condition of life.

and St. John Paul the Great.

Eternal Father, we ask you,
through your Son Jesus Christ,
and the intercession of Mary Immaculate,
Star of the New Evangelization,
to pour forth your Holy Spirit upon
the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Through the gift of the Holy Spirit,
renew and transform us,
and make fruitful the work of evangelization.
Root us deeply in the heart of your Son
so that we may radiate him more fully,
sharing with others the Good News of
salvation in Christ, who alone
is the fulfillment of all human desiring.
Transform our parishes. Make of them
shining lights, beacons of hope
that reach those who are far from you,
drawing them back to your fold.
Consecrate us in your truth
and accomplish your plans in us
according to your holy will.

Gracious and merciful God,
we pray that through the Holy Spirit
all Catholics may hear the call of the New Evangelization
and seek a deeper relationship with your Son, Jesus.
We pray
that the New Evangelization
will renew the Church,
inspiring all Catholics to go forth and make disciples of all nations
and transform society through the power of the Gospel.
We pray
for all members of the Church,
that we heed the words of Christ
do not be afraid
and strengthened by the Holy Spirit's gift of courage,
give witness to the Gospel
and share our faith with others.
We pray
that we may become
like the father of the prodigal son
filled with compassion
for our missing brothers and sisters
and run to embrace them upon their return.
We pray
that all people
yearning to know Christ
and the Church
may encounter him through the faithful
who witness to his love in their lives.
Loving God, our Father,
strengthen us
to become witnesses
to the saving grace of your Son,
Jesus, our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Heavenly Father,
Pour forth your Holy Spirit to inspire me with these words from Holy Scripture.
Stir in my soul the desire to renew my faith and deepen my relationship with your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ so that I might truly believe in and live the Good News.
Open my heart to hear the Gospel and grant me the confidence to proclaim the Good News to others.
Pour out your Spirit, so that I might be strengthened to go forth and witness to the Gospel in my everyday life through my words and actions.
In moments of hesitation, remind me:
If not me, then who will proclaim the Gospel?
If not now, then when will the Gospel be proclaimed?
If not the truth of the Gospel, then what shall I proclaim?
God, our Father, I pray that through the Holy Spirit I might hear the call of the New Evangelization to deepen my faith, grow in confidence to proclaim the Gospel and boldly witness to the saving grace of your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
