Prayer For The Holy Spirit To Come Upon Me
Heavenly Father, Your Word tells us that as You are, so are we in the world. Your Holy Spirit lives in us, and through His power, we are Your representatives. Jesus, You said that we would do the same works that You did, and even greater, through the power of Your Spirit. As we make ourselves living sacrifices, pour out the power of Your Holy Spirit on us and enable us to do Your works on earth. Amen.
Holy Spirit, we give all glory to You, for through Your mighty power at work within us, You are able to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Help us not to grieve You, dear Spirit, but to submit to You and allow Your power to have full sway in us. We thank You for Your gracious presence dwelling within us. Glory to You in the Church and in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Holy Trinity, we thank You for the riches we have inherited as God's children. We thank You that by Your grace and mighty power, we have been given the privilege of serving You and spreading the good news of the endless treasures of knowing You. We ask for the power of Your Holy Spirit to overcome us and make us worthy vessels for Your service. Through Your power, embolden us and guide our words as we share Your gospel with the world. Amen.
Holy Spirit, we thank You for the special powers and abilities You have given to us. You are the source of the many different spiritual gifts that You distribute to believers so that we can help each other and build up the church. Empower us, we pray, with Your gifts of teaching, miracles, healing, helping others, leadership and more! But most of all, empower us to love You with all our heart, soul and mind and to love others as we love ourselves. Amen.
Creator of everything in heaven and on earth, we pray that from Your glorious, unlimited resources You will empower us with inner strength through Your Spirit. May our roots grow deep into Your love and keep us strong. As we experience the incomprehensible love of Christ, may we be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from You. Amen.
Dear God, we abound in hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Fill us with all joy and peace as we believe in You. Holy Spirit, empower our lives to produce Your fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Only through Your power can we live in holiness and in victory over sin. Convict us, fill us, and empower us. Amen.
Holy Spirit,
You are God. I praise you because you are holy, and I thank you for dwelling in my heart. Thank you for working in my life. You guided me into salvation, renewed my dead spirit, and you opened my eyes to the Truth. Thank you.
Help me to see you more clearly to recognize your movement in my life. Make me more sensitive to you so I can follow you more closely. Still, I know that I am selfish and rebellious. I need you to help me be obedient when I recognize your leading. I need you.
I ask you for your help and comfort today. You know my pain and anxieties very well. Thank you for praying over me. Help me to rest in your comfort today.
Help me to walk in you, the Spirit of God. Grow good fruit in my life. You are the one who produces these in me: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I cannot live out these things on my own; I need you.

Holy Spirit, we welcome You. Holy Spirit, we know that You are the Counselor of Truth, our help in need, and the One who fills us with the Spirit of God. Holy Spirit, we pray this very day to come into greater communion with You. You so graciously work to intercede for us to the Father, but also to comfort us with Your peace that goes beyond all understanding. Holy Spirit, please come.
Holy Spirit, today we ask for godly counsel and direction. As it says in Psalm 37:4 to delight yourselves in the Lord, so we boldly seek to do so today. Following the will and heart of the Father is our greatest desire, for we know His plans are best for us and, in the end, glorify the kingdom. Holy Spirit, please lead us by Your wisdom, discernment, and kindness throughout our lives.
Holy Spirit we praise and thank You for the love lavished upon us. Holy Spirit, we seek and so earnestly crave to be in Your presence, to feel the inner work of You in our own hearts and minds. You so graciously give comfort, truth, and love. Holy Spirit, we welcome You this very day. In the Name of Christ Jesus, Amen.
