Prayer For The Classroom
Father in heaven,
Thank you for family - watch over my loved ones
Thank you for play - help me to be happy and free
Thank you for my school - teach me to listen and learn
Thank you for food and rest - you give us lovely food and peaceful sleep
Thank you for all these wonderful things,
Amen.
Father God,
Come with us today.
Fill our hearts with joy.
Fill our minds with learning.
Fill our classrooms with peace.
Fill our lessons with fun.
Fill our friendships with kindness.
Fill our school with love.
Amen.
Dear Lord Jesus, We are excited to learn more about you, to read the bible and hear stories. Thank you that we can play games together. Thank you that we can create and make things that remind us of you. Amen.
Come, Holy Spirit, Divine Creator, true source of light and fountain of wisdom! Pour forth your brilliance upon my dense intellect, dissipate the darkness which covers me, that of sin and of ignorance. Grant me a penetrating mind to understand, a retentive memory, method and ease in learning, the lucidity to comprehend, and abundant grace in expressing myself. Guide the beginning of my work, direct its progress, and bring it to successful completion. This I ask through Jesus Christ, true God and true man, living and reigning with You and the Father, forever and ever. Amen.
Dear Father, Thank you for our teachers, our school and our families. As we gather together this morning we invite Your Holy Spirit to inspire us, guide us and teach us in everything that we do today. We give you our anxious thoughts and receive your peace. Thank you that you promise to be with us always. Amen.
Dear Lord and Father of all, Thank you for today. Thank you for ways in which you provide for us all. For Your protection and love we thank you. Help us to focus our hearts and minds now on what we are about to learn. Inspire us by Your Holy Spirit as we listen and write. Guide us by your eternal light as we discover more about the world around us. We ask all this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Lord, we offer to you our class today.
We pray that through your Divine Guidance,
we would learn how to listen attentively to the inputs of our teacher.
May we appreciate his/her effort in imparting his/her knowledge to us.
May we participate actively in the discussions and activities, so we could learn more while having fun.
May we value each other's contributions as a building block towards harmony and peace.
Grant that as we interact with one another, we recognize the fact that all our learning activities should be accomplished for your greater glory.
Grant that we recognize YOU in each of our classmates and teachers.
As we leave for home, we pray that you keep us safe from harm and illnesses.
And we would be able to apply correctly what we have learned from school.
All these we ask in your powerful name.
