Prayer For The Armor Of God

Heavenly Father, I know that prayer has incredible power. Help me to pray without ceasing and keep You in total focus. Amen.

Dear Lord, please help me to keep my eyes focused on You. I know You are at my right hand. If I keep my eyes focused on you and trust you, I know that I will not be shaken. Amen.

In the name of Jesus, I put on the whole armor of God, that I may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For I wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places.

Therefore, I take unto myself the whole armor of God that I may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. I stand, therefore, having my loins girt about with truth. Your Word, Lord, which is truth, contains all the weapons of my warfare, which are not carnal, but mighty through You to the pulling down of strongholds.

I have on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with You, which is faith and love. My feet are shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace. In Christ Jesus I have peace and pursue peace with all men. I am a minister of reconciliation, proclaiming the good news of the Gospel.

I take the shield of faith, upon which I can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one]; the helmet of salvation (holding the thoughts, feelings, and purpose of Your heart, Lord); and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. In the face of all trials, tests, temptations, and tribulation, I cut to pieces the snare of the enemy by speaking Your Word. Greater is He Who is in me than he who is in the world.

Thank You, Father, for the armor. I will pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end I will keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints. My power and ability and sufficiency are from You Who qualified me as a minister and a dispenser of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ]. Amen.

May the Strength of God Empower me;
The Wisdom of God Direct me;
The Spirit of God Inspire me;
The Love of God Enfold me;
The Grace of God Comfort me;
The Joy of God Fill me.
And may the Blessing of God Almighty,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Be upon me, today and always. Amen.

In the name of Jesus Christ I disclaim, renounce, and totally reject all the depression, heaviness and gloom, which now burdens me. I am a child of light, not of darkness. I will walk in the light as He is in the light, while the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses me from all sin.

May I live today in the Communion of Saints. I take as my companions the Angels, Archangels, and all the Company of Heaven. May they surround me on every side to be my keepers and guardians.

And I claim the promised indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the Father's gift to all who ask Him. May I be His temple today that I may live to the praise of God the Father and after the pattern of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

Heavenly Father,
I take to myself this morning / evening:
The HELMET of Salvation;
The BREASTPLATE of Righteousness;
The BELT of Truth;
The SHOES of the Gospel of Peace;
The SHIELD of Faith;
The SWORD of the Spirit.

Dear God,

Today we put on the full armor to guard our lives against attack. We put on the belt of truth to protect against lies and deception. We put on the breastplate of righteousness to protect our hearts from the temptations we battle. We put the gospel of peace on our feet, so we're ready to take your light wherever you send us this day. We choose to walk in the peace and freedom of your Spirit and not be overcome with fear and anxious thoughts. We take up your shield of faith that will extinguish all the darts and threats hurled our way by the enemy. We believe in your power to protect us and choose to trust in you. We put on the helmet of salvation, which covers our minds and thoughts, reminding us we are children of the day, forgiven, set free, saved by the grace of Christ Jesus. We take up the sword of the Spirit, your very Word, the one offensive weapon given to us for battle, which has the power to demolish strongholds, alive, active, and sharper than any double-edged sword.

We ask for your help in remembering to put on your full armor every day, for you give us all that we need to stand firm in this world. Forgive us God for the times we've been unprepared, too busy to care, or trying to fight and wrestle in our own strength.

Thank you that we never fight alone, for you are constantly at work on our behalf, shielding, protecting, strengthening, exposing deeds of darkness, bringing to light what needs to be known, covering us from the cruel attacks we face even when we're unaware.

In the powerful name of Jesus,

Amen.
