Prayer For Test Taker
Grant, O merciful God, that I may
ardently desire,
prudently examine,
truthfully acknowledge,
and perfectly accomplish
what is pleasing to You,
for the praise and glory of Your Name. Amen.
Ineffable Creator, Who out of the treasures of Thy wisdom has appointed three hierarchies of Angels and set them in admirable order high above the heavens and hast disposed the divers portions of the universe in such marvellous array, Thou Who art called
the True Source of Light and supereminent Principle of Wisdom, be pleased to cast a beam of Thy radiance upon the darkness of my mind and dispel from me the double darkness of sin and ignorance in which I have been born.
Thou Who makest eloquent the tongues of little children, fashion my words and pour upon my lips the grace of Thy benediction. Grant me penetration to understand, capacity to retain, method and facility in study, subtlety
in interpretation and abundant grace of expression.
Order the beginning, direct the progress and perfect the achievement of my work, Thou Who art true God and true Man and livest and reignest for ever and ever. Amen.
O humble St. Joseph of Cupertino, help me especially in the decisive moments of this examination, protect me from forgetfulness and disturbing anxiety which often debilitates me. You struggled with forgetfulness and anxiety. I implore you to pray for me that I may receive the grace to calmly and thoughtfully take this examination and for these my intentions (mention your intentions here). Amen. O humble St. Joseph of Cupertino, you were favored by God in overcoming the difficulties and worries of studies and examinations. Intercede for me to the Holy Spirit that my mind and memory may be strengthened in the pursuit of God's wisdom. Help me to offer God my very best work and help me to grow in knowledge and humility. Everything that I try to learn in life will be offered in service to God. St. Joseph of Cupertino, Pray for me. Our Lady of Good Studies, Pray for me. Holy Spirit, Enlighten me! Amen. Prayer Before a Test Lord, thank you that you are with me right now Your love surpasses all fear I give you the anxiety I feel I surrender all my worries to you Clear my mind Calm my heart Still my Spirit Relax my being That I may always glorify you In everything I write, speak and do.
Lord, I have done my best. I now lay this exam and the result at the foot of the cross. Thank you that this is a place of grace, where I can find rest. Thank you that I am safe beside you Jesus, that you are with me no matter what lies ahead. Thank you that I travel with you and live in your blessing. Amen.
Come still my heart, O Lord Calm my nerves and focus my mind. Father, I lay before you everything I have studied. May I channel all I have learnt into this exam. Please give me the faith to believe I can pass this test, Yet the peace to know that all is well. Thank you that you are with me no matter what the result, Thank you that your friendship is eternal. Amen.
