Prayer For Teams
Lord, protect them from spiritual and physical attacks on their faith and their family. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
God, sustain their passion for serving the women of our church and community. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Father, please help them to know when to speak and when to be quiet. Watch your words and hold your tongue; you'll save yourself a lot of grief.
God created this day for...
gain not loss,
success not failure,
positive actions not negative thoughts.
O Lord inspire us with desire for greatness,
to wisely use these gifts and talents
you have so generously given to us.
They are tools to be used,
not treasures to be stored up.
Create in these young athletes:
the Right Attitude to excel in the classroom and in life. The attitude that says "I can reach deeper inside myself."
The Firm Belief in God, themselves,
their families, and their teammates,
to have great expectations for their future.
The Enduring Commitment to persevere,
to never quit no matter what the score,
to never give up no matter what the odds.
Amen.
Dear Lord, thank you for the opportunity to meet today.? May we engage with each other with faith and perseverance.? May we manage each situation with wisdom and value.? May we speak and serve with integrity and purpose.
Lord, we invite you to work within us today.
Saint Michael Archangel,
defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil;
may God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God,
cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Almighty God,
Thank you for the beauty and majesty we see in your creation.
Thank you for the opportunity to care for the world you have made.
We ask that your blessing would rest on this team, that you would give us
great vision and enthusiasm for our work.
Please bless the efforts of our hands, the bonds between us and the
influence of our work in this location and beyond.
Lord, as we plan and share together now, may you guide us by your Holy Spirit and lead us into all truth.
St. Joseph, by the work of your hands and the sweat of your brow, you supported Jesus and Mary,and had the Son of God as your fellow worker. Teach me to work as you did, with patience and perseverance, for God and for those whom God has given me to support.
Teach me to see in my fellow workers the Christ who desires to be in them, that I may always be charitable and forbearing towards all. Grant me to look upon work with the eyes of faith, so that I shall recognize in it my share in God's own creative activity and in Christ's work of our redemption, and so take pride in it.
When it is pleasant and productive, remind me to give thanks to God for it. And when it is burdensome, teach me to offer it to God, in reparation for my sins and the sins of the world. Amen.
