Prayer For Team
Dear God, Today is game day and I place myself in your loving hands. Help me to be a good sport. I pray that I do not seek individual glory or accolades, but rather that I play for your glory and for the good of my team.
Dear Lord, thank you for the opportunity to meet today.? May we engage with each other with faith and perseverance.? May we manage each situation with wisdom and value.? May we speak and serve with integrity and purpose.
Lord, we invite you to work within us today.
Saint Michael Archangel,
defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil;
may God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God,
cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
St. Joseph, by the work of your hands and the sweat of your brow, you supported Jesus and Mary,and had the Son of God as your fellow worker. Teach me to work as you did, with patience and perseverance, for God and for those whom God has given me to support.
Teach me to see in my fellow workers the Christ who desires to be in them, that I may always be charitable and forbearing towards all. Grant me to look upon work with the eyes of faith, so that I shall recognize in it my share in God's own creative activity and in Christ's work of our redemption, and so take pride in it.
When it is pleasant and productive, remind me to give thanks to God for it. And when it is burdensome, teach me to offer it to God, in reparation for my sins and the sins of the world. Amen.
Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O LORD, Thy grace into our hearts; that, we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord, protect them from spiritual and physical attacks on their faith and their family. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
Father, give them the energy and desire to complete the task ahead. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
Father, please help them to know when to speak and when to be quiet. Watch your words and hold your tongue; you'll save yourself a lot of grief.
