Prayer For Teachers And Students
God of the Universe thank you that you are perfectly faithful; you never forget, never fail and never take back a promise. You have promised that you will give wisdom to anyone who asks. Hear my prayer for wisdom and fill me with your love and your understanding. Help me to study by giving me a clear mind and a calm heart. May your peace be in my heart, your grace be in my words, your love be in my hands and your joy be in my soul. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Merciful God, thank you that I am never alone, your presence calms the troubled sea of my life and speaks peace to my soul. When I am filled with anxiety and uncertainty about my studies, would you calm my fears and fill my mind with your peace. Give me assurance that you are working everything for my good and your glory. May your love be the passion in my heart. May your joy be my strength when times are hard. May your presence be my peace that overflows. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
All-Knowing God, thank you that you possess infinite riches of wisdom, goodness and power. You have said that if I accept your words, turn my ear to wisdom and apply my heart to understanding, then I will find the wisdom and knowledge of God. Remind me as I study, that everything I have is a gift from you. May the peace of God reign in my life, the love of God surround me, the Spirit of God empower me and the joy of God uphold me. Mighty God, thank you that you know me and you love me. The ability to teach is a gift from you. Help me to use the teaching gift you have given me effectively. Generous Father, thank you that you are great and abundant in power, your understanding is beyond measure. Let me follow the example of Jesus who, as he grew up, increased in wisdom and stature. Heavenly Father, thank you that you hear and answer my prayers. Your word instructs us to start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. In my role as a teacher, please help me to work hard for the good of my students, treating each of them with care, love and respect. Lord, bless me and keep me, make your face shine upon me.
